Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled.

But He said to them,“ Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.So the men marveled, saying,“ Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying,“ Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm.But He said to them,“ Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another,“ Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!”

And they were astonished beyond measure, saying,“ He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.”

And Peter answered Him and said,“ Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”So He said,“ Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying,“ Lord, save me!”And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him,“ O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.

Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying,“ We never saw anything like this!”

Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying,“ What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement.

So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves.

And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another,“ Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice; The floods lift up their waves.The Lord on high is mightier Than the noise of many waters, Than the mighty waves of the sea.

Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble, And He brings them out of their distresses.He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven.
