好使你們行事為人對得起主，凡事蒙他喜悅，在一切善事上結果子，對上帝的認識更有長進。

你們要常在我裏面，我也常在你們裏面。枝子若不常在葡萄樹上，自己就不能結果子；你們若不常在我裏面，也是這樣。我就是葡萄樹，你們是枝子。常在我裏面的，我也常在他裏面，這人就多結果子，因為離了我，你們就不能做甚麼。

那落在好土裏的，就是人聽了道，並用純真善良的心持守它，耐心等候結果實。」

不是你們揀選了我，而是我揀選了你們，並且派你們去結果子，讓你們的果子得以長存，好使你們奉我的名，無論向父求甚麼，他會賜給你們。

末了，弟兄們，我們靠着主耶穌求你們，勸你們，既然你們領受了我們的教導，知道該怎樣行事為人，討上帝的喜悅，其實你們也正這樣行，我勸你們要更加努力。

你們有了這幾樣，再繼續增長，就必使你們在認識我們的主耶穌基督上，不至於懶散和不結果子了。

更靠着耶穌基督結滿仁義的果子，歸榮耀稱讚給上帝。

我的弟兄們，這樣說來，你們藉着基督的身體對律法也是死了，使你們歸於另一位，就是歸於那從死人中復活的，為要使我們結果子給上帝。

聖靈的果子就是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制。這樣的事沒有律法禁止。
