耶穌又對他們說：「人拿燈來，難道是要放在斗底下，床底下，而不放在燈臺上嗎？

耶稣继续说：“人会把灯拿来放在篮子底下或床底下吗？当然不会，他一定会把它放在灯台上。

耶稣又对他们说：“灯难道是拿来放在量器底下或床底下的吗？它不是该放在灯台上吗？

耶稣又对他们说：“油灯拿进来，难道是为了放在斗底下，或床底下吗？不是为了放在灯台上吗？

耶穌繼續說：「人會把燈拿來放在籃子底下或床底下嗎？當然不會，他一定會把它放在燈臺上。

耶穌又對他們說：“燈難道是拿來放在量器底下或床底下的嗎？它不是該放在燈臺上嗎？

耶穌對他們說：『燈來了，哪是要放在斗底下或床底下呢？不是要放在燈臺上麼？

耶穌又對他們說：「油燈拿進來，難道是為了放在斗底下，或床底下嗎？不是為了放在燈臺上嗎？

又曰、人攜燈豈置斗下牀下乎、非檠上耶、

耶穌又曰、人以燈至、豈置斗下床下耶、非置之臺上耶、

耶穌又謂之曰、人取燈來、豈為置於斗下床下、非為置於燈臺乎、

耶穌又謂其徒曰：『人之燃燈、將置之斗中、床下乎？抑置於燈臺之上乎？

He said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand?

Jesus said to them,“ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a large bowl or a bed? Don’t you put it on its stand?

And he said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket, or under a bed, and not on a stand?

Then Jesus asked them,“ Would anyone light a lamp and then put it under a basket or under a bed? Of course not! A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light will shine.

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And He was saying to them,“ A lamp is not brought to be put under a basket, or under a bed, is it? Is it not brought to be put on the lampstand?

Also He said to them,“ Is a lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Is it not to be set on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is the lamp brought to be put under the bushel, or under the bed, and not to be put on the stand?

He also said to them,“ Is a lamp brought in to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it to be put on a lampstand?

And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

He also said to them,“ A lamp isn’t brought to be put under a basket or under a bed, is it? Isn’t it to be placed on a lampstand?

He said to them,“ Is the lamp brought to be put under a basket or under a bed? Isn’t it put on a stand?

人點燈，不放在斗底下，而是放在燈臺上，就照亮一家的人。

「沒有人點燈放在地窖裏，或是斗底下，總是放在燈臺上，讓進來的人看見亮光。

「沒有人點燈用器皿蓋上，或放在床底下，而是放在燈臺上，讓進來的人看見亮光。

興起，發光！因為你的光已來到！耶和華的榮光發出照耀着你。看哪，黑暗籠罩大地，幽暗遮蓋萬民，耶和華卻要升起照耀你，他的榮光要顯在你身上。列國要來就你的光，列王要來就你發出的光輝。

至於淫亂和一切污穢，或是貪婪，在你們中間連提都不可，這才合乎聖徒的體統。淫詞、妄語和粗俗的俏皮話都不合宜；總要說感謝的話。要確實知道，無論是淫亂的，是污穢的，是貪心的（貪心的就是拜偶像的），在基督和上帝的國裏都得不到基業。不要被人虛浮的話欺騙了，因這些事，上帝的憤怒必臨到那些悖逆的人。所以，不要與他們同夥。從前你們是暗昧的，但如今在主裏面是光明的，行事為人要像光明的子女－光明所結的果子就是一切的良善、公義、誠實。總要察驗甚麼是主所喜悅的事。那暗昧無益的事，不可參與，倒要把這種事揭發出來。因為，他們暗中所做的，就是連提起來都是可恥的。凡被光所照明的都顯露出來，因為使一切顯露出來的就是光。所以有話說：「你這睡着的人醒過來吧！要從死人中復活，基督要光照你了。」你們要謹慎行事，不要像無知的人，要像智慧的人。

好使你們無可指責，誠實無偽，在這彎曲悖謬的世代作上帝無瑕疵的兒女。你們在這世代中要像明光照耀，將生命的道顯明出來，使我在基督的日子得以誇耀我沒有白跑，也沒有徒勞。

聖靈彰顯在各人身上，是要使人得益處。
