大卫到了挪伯的亚希米勒祭司那里，亚希米勒战战兢兢地出来迎接他，对他说：“你为什么独自一人，没有人跟随你呢？”

亚伦和他儿子要在会幕的门口吃这羊的肉和篮子里的饼。他们要吃那些用来赎罪之物，好承接圣职，使他们分别为圣。外人不可吃，因为这是圣物。

亚多尼雅与洗鲁雅的儿子约押和亚比亚他祭司商议；他们就顺从亚多尼雅，帮助他。

大卫知道扫罗设计陷害他，就对亚比亚他祭司说：“把以弗得拿过来。”

所罗门王回答母亲说：“为何替亚多尼雅求书念女子亚比煞呢？可以为他求王国吧！他是我的兄长，不但为他，也为亚比亚他祭司和洗鲁雅的儿子约押求吧！”

亚希突的儿子亚希米勒有一个儿子逃脱了；他名叫亚比亚他，逃到大卫那里。亚比亚他把扫罗杀耶和华祭司的事告诉大卫。大卫对亚比亚他说：“那日我见以东人多益在那里，就知道他一定会告诉扫罗。你父的全家丧命，都是因我的缘故。
