除酵节的第一日，就是人们宰杀逾越节羔羊的那一天，耶稣的门徒们问他：“你要我们到哪里去预备，好让你吃逾越节的晚餐呢？”

但是等到时候一满足，神就派遣他的儿子，由女人所生，生在律法之下，

你们应当把那旧的酵母除净，好使你们成为新的面团，就像你们是无酵的那样；因为实际上，我们逾越节的羔羊——基督已经被献上了。所以让我们来守这节，不可用旧的酵母，也不可用恶毒、恶意的酵母，而要用真诚、真实的无酵饼。

除酵节的第一日到了，在这一天必须宰杀逾越节的羔羊。耶稣差派彼得和约翰，说：“你们去为我们预备逾越节的晚餐，好让我们能吃上。”他们问耶稣：“你要我们在哪里预备呢？”耶稣对他们说：“看哪！你们进了城，会有一个人提着一罐水迎面而来，你们就跟着他，到他所进的那一家去，对那家的主人说：‘老师问你：我与我的门徒们一起吃逾越节晚餐的客房在哪里呢？’他会给你们看楼上一间布置好的大房间，你们就在那里预备吧。”他们去了，看到的正如耶稣对他们所说的。他们就预备了逾越节的晚餐。

除酵节的第一日，门徒们前来问耶稣：“你要我们到哪里去预备，好让你吃逾越节的晚餐呢？”耶稣说：“你们进城去，到某人那里，告诉他：‘老师说，我的时候快到了。我要在你那里与我的门徒们一起守逾越节。’”门徒们就依照耶稣所吩咐的去做，预备了逾越节的晚餐。

耶稣回答他，说：“现在你就答应吧，因为我们如此成全一切的义，是合宜的。”于是约翰答应了他。
