我欲詣於主前、叩拜在上之天主、當獻何物、當獻火焚祭乎、抑獻一歲之犢乎、獻數千牡綿羊、獻油多若萬河、豈主所悅乎、我當以初生之嬰孩、贖我愆尤、抑以親生之骨肉、親生之骨肉原文作我身之果贖我罪惡歟、世人乎、主曾諭爾何為善、主向爾所欲無他、惟欲爾行公義、好施矜恤、虔敬虔敬或作謙遜以奉事爾之天主、○

撒母耳曰、主豈悅火焚祭平安祭、不悅人聽從主命乎、聽命勝於獻祭、順從勝於牡羊脂、

經云、我欲矜恤、不欲祭祀、爾若知此言之意、則不罪無辜者矣、

我雖能言世人及天使之言、若無愛、則如鳴鉦響鈸、雖有先知之明、能探諸奧妙、得諸知識、信德俱備、能以移山、若無愛、則無益、雖傾所有以濟貧、又舍身被焚、若無愛則於我無益、

主云、爾獻多祭、與我何益、以牡綿羊獻為火焚祭、及肥畜之脂、為我所厭、牛血、羔血、牡山羊之血、非我所悅、爾來覲我、誰索此於爾、爾惟踐踏我之院宇、毋復獻無益之祭、馨香馨香或作焚香我甚憎之、月朔、安息日、大會之日、我所厭棄、守節期、又復行惡、我所不容、爾之朔日、節期、我心厭惡、我視若重負、難再容忍、爾舉手禱告、我掩目不顧、爾雖多祈禱、我不俯聽、因爾殺無辜、手滿血跡、當洗滌自潔、於我目前除爾惡行、不復作惡、學習行善、行公義、護庇受屈者、護庇受屈者或作使強暴者歸正為孤子伸冤、為嫠婦辨屈、

凡以感謝為祭者始是敬奉我、行動謹慎之人、我必使之得見我之救恩、

人自刻苦、垂頭如葦、以麻布塵埃為床、如是禁食之日、豈我所悅乎、爾豈可稱為禁食乎、可視為主所悅之日乎、釋兇暴之繩、解欺壓之索、釋受虐者、折一切壓人之軛、如是之禁食、始為我所悅、分餅於饑者、納流離之貧民於己家、見裸者則衣之、勿掩面不顧爾之骨肉、

行義秉公、為主所悅、愈於悅獻祭、

爾之節期、我憎惡厭棄、厭棄或作輕視爾大會之日、我甚不悅、爾大會之日我甚不悅或作爾聖會所獻之祭我不享之爾獻火焚祭與素祭、我不悅納、爾用肥牲、獻為平安祭、我不垂顧、爾謳歌之聲、可撤於我前、爾琴瑟之音、我不欲聞、當行公平、有若水流、當為仁義、有若長流之溪、或作惟宜使公義通行有若流河使義理徧行有若長流之水

萬有之主以色列之天主如是云、爾之火焚祭、爾可自食其肉、與他祭品他祭品或作平安祭下同無異、昔我導爾列祖出伊及時、我未嘗命之獻火焚祭與他祭品、惟命之以此、曰、爾其聽我言、我必為爾之天主、爾將為我之民、遵行我所命爾之道、必可蒙福、

先既言祭祀與禮物、火焚祭與贖罪之祭、爾不欲不悅之、此皆遵律法而獻者、
