Because I have sinned against Him, I must endure the Lord’s rage until He argues my case and establishes justice for me. He will bring me into the light; I will see His salvation.

Because I have sinned against him, I will bear the Lord’s wrath, until he pleads my case and upholds my cause. He will bring me out into the light; I will see his righteousness.

We’ve sinned against the Lord. So he is angry with us. His anger will continue until he takes up our case. Then he’ll do what is right for us. He’ll bring us out into the light. Then we’ll see him save us.

It is a clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment that you will be counted worthy of God’s kingdom, for which you also are suffering,since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict youand to reward with rest you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with His powerful angels,taking vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strengthin that day when He comes to be glorified by His saints and to be admired by all those who have believed, because our testimony among you was believed.

This is what the Lord of Hosts says: Israelites and Judeans alike have been oppressed. All their captors hold them fast; they refuse to release them.Their Redeemer is strong; Yahweh of Hosts is His name. He will fervently plead their case so that He might bring rest to the earth but turmoil to those who live in Babylon.

So you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.

Rejoice over her, heaven, and you saints, apostles, and prophets, because God has executed your judgment on her!

says the inhabitant of Zion;“ Let the violence done to me and my family be done to Babylon. Let my blood be on the inhabitants of Chaldea,” says Jerusalem.Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I am about to plead your case and take vengeance on your behalf; I will dry up her sea and make her fountain run dry.

Vindicate me, God, and defend my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Why should any living person complain, any man, because of the punishment for his sins?Let us search out and examine our ways, and turn back to the Lord.Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven:We have sinned and rebelled; You have not forgiven.

for the Lord disciplines the one He loves and punishes every son He receives.Endure suffering as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline?

Yet He knows the way I have taken; when He has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.
