But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

But I will look to the Lord. I’ll put my trust in God my Savior. He will hear me.

And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this[ is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this[ is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

The LORD[ is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul[ that] seeketh him.[ It is] good that[ a man] should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou[ art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither[ shall] fruit[ be] in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and[ there shall be] no herd in the stalls:Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.The LORD God[ is] my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’[ feet], and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,[ and] established my goings.And he hath put a new song in my mouth,[ even] praise unto our God: many shall see[ it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

For my love they are my adversaries: but I[ give myself unto] prayer.

I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I[ am] God, and[ there is] none else.

Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.[ I had fainted], unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name[ was] Simeon; and the same man[ was] just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.This poor man cried, and the LORD heard[ him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
