爾雖播種、不得刈穫、雖踐踐或作壓下同油果、不得油以膏身、雖踐葡萄、不得酒以飲、

You will plant but not harvest; you will press olives but not use the oil, you will crush grapes but not drink the wine.

Their wealth will become plunder, And their houses desolate; Yes, they will build houses but not inhabit them, And plant vineyards but not drink their wine.”

Therefore because you impose heavy rent on the poor And take a tribute of grain from them, Though you have built houses of cut stone, Yet you will not live in them; You have planted beautiful vineyards, yet you will not drink their wine.

They have sown wheat but have harvested thorns, They have strained themselves to no profit. So be ashamed of your produce Because of the fierce anger of the Lord.”

Your strength will be consumed uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.

“ You will bring out a great amount of seed to the field, but you will gather in little, because the locust will devour it.You will plant and cultivate vineyards, but you will neither drink of the wine nor bring in the harvest, because the worm will eat it.You will have olive trees throughout your territory but you will not anoint yourself with the oil, because your olives will drop off prematurely.

You have sown much, only to harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but there is not enough for anyone to get warm; and the one who earns, earns wages to put into a money bag full of holes.”

They will build houses and inhabit them; They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit.They will not build and another inhabit, They will not plant and another eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people, And My chosen ones will fully enjoy the work of their hands.

The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His mighty arm:“ I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies, Nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.”But those who harvest it will eat it and praise the Lord; And those who gather it will drink it in the courtyards of My sanctuary.

The field is ruined, The land mourns; For the grain is ruined, The new wine has dried up, Fresh oil has failed.Be ashamed, you farm workers, Wail, you vinedressers, For the wheat and the barley; Because the harvest of the field is destroyed.The vine has dried up And the fig tree has withered; The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree, All the trees of the field have dried up. Indeed, joy has dried up From the sons of mankind.
