Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they look for the Lord’s support and say,“ Is not the Lord among us? No disaster will come upon us.”

Your judges take money from people who want special favors. Your priests teach only if they get paid for it. Your prophets won’t tell fortunes unless they receive money. But you still look for the Lord’ s help. You say,“ The Lord is with us. No trouble will come on us.”

爾之牧伯悖逆、黨於盜賊、好賄賂、索苞苴、不伸孤子之冤、不理嫠婦之訟、○

因其自尊逮卑、咸屬貪婪、先知祭司、俱行虛誕、

論及誘惑我民之先知、彼牙齒有所嚼、則呼曰平康、若不以物實其口、則備戰以攻之、耶和華曰、

宜牧爾中上帝羣而督之、非由強、乃由願、非趨利、乃樂為、

西門見使徒按手、即有聖神下賜、乃獻之以金、曰、以此能予我、俾我手所按者、亦受聖神焉、彼得謂之曰、爾金與爾偕亡、因爾意上帝之賜、可以金而獲也、

宜杜其口、彼為非義之利、教所不當教、傾覆人之家室、

其子不行父道、偏私牟利、受賄反正、○

我在此、爾於耶和華及其受膏者前、可為我證、我曾強取何人之牛、刦奪何人之驢、欺侮何人、苛虐何人、受賕於何人之手、以蔽我目、若有、我必償之、僉曰、爾未嘗欺我虐我、亦未嘗受何物於人手、

我民中之罪人、自謂禍不及我、不臨於我、必死於刃、○

禍哉斯人也、以其行該隱之途、且為利而趨巴蘭之謬、淪亡於可拉之違言、

彼縱飲既畢、則行淫不已、牧伯悅乎恥辱、

民歸營時、以色列長老曰、耶和華今日何擊我於非利士人前、當舁耶和華約匱、自示羅至此、援我於敵手、於是民遣人詣示羅、舁居基路伯間、萬軍之耶和華約匱而至、以利二子、何弗尼非尼哈、與約匱偕、耶和華約匱既入營、以色列眾大聲號呼、地為響應、非利士人聞號呼之聲、則曰、希伯來營大聲號呼、曷故、嗣知耶和華匱入營、

昔有偽先知起於民間、爾中亦將有偽師、私傳左道以陷人、拒贖之之主、自取速亡、將有多人從其淫妄、真道因之而受謗、彼由貪婪、將以飾言漁爾之利、自昔其鞫不遲、淪亡不寢、

斯犬饕餮、不知饜足、斯牧不明、各趨其途、悉求利己、

爾名為猶太人、以律自恃、以上帝自詡、既習於律、則知其旨、且樂夫至善、自信為瞽者之相、暗者之光、愚者之師、赤子之傅、於律中有知識真理之模範、夫爾誨人、而不自誨乎、爾言勿竊、而自竊乎、爾言勿淫、而自淫乎、爾惡偶像、而自刧殿乎、爾以律自誇、而干律以辱上帝乎、上帝之名、緣爾受謗於異邦、如經所載矣、爾若行律、則割禮有益、若干律、則割如未割、若然、則未割者守律之義、雖未割、不謂之為割乎、其素無割而守律者、不罪爾以文與割而干律者乎、蓋顯為猶太人者、非猶太人、顯於身之割、非割也、惟隱為猶太人者、誠猶太人、受於心之割、乃割也、在性靈不在儀文、其稱譽也、非由人、乃由上帝、

深願爾中有人閉門、免徒爇火於我壇、萬軍之耶和華曰、我不悅爾、不納爾手所獻之物、

勿自謂、我有亞伯拉罕為父也、我語汝、上帝能由此石興起亞伯拉罕之子孫焉、

惟爾恃無益之虛詞、攘竊殺戮、行淫妄誓、焚香於巴力、從事素所未識之他神、且詣我寄名之室、立於我前曰、我得釋矣、致爾行此可惡之事、我寄名之室、爾乃視為盜穴乎、耶和華曰、我鑒之矣、可往示羅、昔我寄名之所、視我為我民以色列邪惡、所行之事、

受賄以流人血、貸金而取利息、行暴於鄰、得財無厭、而忘乎我、主耶和華言之矣、
