Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry[ thy] bed.He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in[ that] place.Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy,[ Thy] sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins,( he saith to the sick of the palsy,)I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins,( he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.

And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead,[ even] by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
