Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need.Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

“ Yes,” Jesus replied,“ and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property— along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine.

My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands.Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding.Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding.Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures.Then you will understand what it means to fear the Lord, and you will gain knowledge of God.For the Lord grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding.He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity.He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go.

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread.

In this way, King Hezekiah handled the distribution throughout all Judah, doing what was pleasing and good in the sight of the Lord his God.In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.

Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.

And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.

Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever.They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough.

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

“ Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”

“ Yes,” Jesus replied,“ and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God,will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”

So God replied,“ Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies—I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have!And I will also give you what you did not ask for— riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!

This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say,“ It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

“ The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.“ Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a merchant on the lookout for choice pearls.When he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it!

and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

“ Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

From then on Jesus began to preach,“ Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

But Elijah said to her,“ Don’t be afraid! Go ahead and do just what you’ve said, but make a little bread for me first. Then use what’s left to prepare a meal for yourself and your son.

Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

And God will use this persecution to show his justice and to make you worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering.

For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.

But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago.We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.

“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: The people are saying,‘ The time has not yet come to rebuild the house of the Lord.’”Then the Lord sent this message through the prophet Haggai:“ Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins?This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you!You have planted much but harvest little. You eat but are not satisfied. You drink but are still thirsty. You put on clothes but cannot keep warm. Your wages disappear as though you were putting them in pockets filled with holes!“ This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you!Now go up into the hills, bring down timber, and rebuild my house. Then I will take pleasure in it and be honored, says the Lord.You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. And when you brought your harvest home, I blew it away. Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, while all of you are busy building your own fine houses.It’s because of you that the heavens withhold the dew and the earth produces no crops.I have called for a drought on your fields and hills— a drought to wither the grain and grapes and olive trees and all your other crops, a drought to starve you and your livestock and to ruin everything you have worked so hard to get.”

That night God appeared to Solomon and said,“ What do you want? Ask, and I will give it to you!”Solomon replied to God,“ You showed great and faithful love to David, my father, and now you have made me king in his place.O Lord God, please continue to keep your promise to David my father, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth!Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly, for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?”God said to Solomon,“ Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people—I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”

The people will declare,“ The Lord is the source of all my righteousness and strength.” And all who were angry with him will come to him and be ashamed.

But you might ask,‘ What will we eat during the seventh year, since we are not allowed to plant or harvest crops that year?’Be assured that I will send my blessing for you in the sixth year, so the land will produce a crop large enough for three years.

And this will be his name:‘ The Lord Is Our Righteousness.’ In that day Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety.

Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations.

This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior.

“ And now I know that none of you to whom I have preached the Kingdom will ever see me again.

When you hoped for a twenty bushel crop, you harvested only ten. When you expected to draw fifty gallons from the winepress, you found only twenty.I sent blight and mildew and hail to destroy everything you worked so hard to produce. Even so, you refused to return to me, says the Lord.“ Think about this eighteenth day of December, the day when the foundation of the Lord’s Temple was laid. Think carefully.I am giving you a promise now while the seed is still in the barn. You have not yet harvested your grain, and your grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, and olive trees have not yet produced their crops. But from this day onward I will bless you.”
