Give us each day the food we need,

For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: There will always be flour and olive oil left in your containers until the time when the Lord sends rain and the crops grow again!”So she did as Elijah said, and she and Elijah and her family continued to eat for many days.There was always enough flour and olive oil left in the containers, just as the Lord had promised through Elijah.

Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Give us today the food we need,

But by then it was full of maggots and had a terrible smell. Moses was very angry with them.

May the bolts of your gates be of iron and bronze; may you be secure all your days.”

and to keep you from being shaken by the troubles you were going through. But you know that we are destined for such troubles.Even while we were with you, we warned you that troubles would soon come— and they did, as you well know.
