雀一雙、非售銀一分乎？然爾父不許、無有一雀、可隕於地。即爾頭上之髮、亦莖莖見數。是以無庸鰓鰓過慮、爾固貴於群雀也。

按時賜溫飽。用慰喁喁望。信手行布施。群生慶豐穰。

盍觀群鴉、不稼不穡、無庫無倉、而天主猶養之畜之。爾之貴於飛禽、不亦多乎？且爾中誰能憑其思慮、而自延尺寸之壽命乎？此至微者、爾尚無能為力、遑恤其他。盍觀玉簪花、不勞不紡、而其發榮滋長、為如何耶？吾語爾、即所羅門之黼黻文章、盛極一時者、以視一朵玉簪猶有遜色。夫野草今日在田、明日投爐、天主猶飾之如此、況於爾乎？噫、何爾信心之薄也。是故勿謀何飲何食、毋事營營汲汲；凡此皆世俗之所營。爾之有需於此、爾父庸有不知？惟先求天國、餘物自加於爾矣。二三子毋庸憂疑、已承爾父美意、以國授爾矣。

凡屬受造。仰主資生。按時給食。自有權衡。彼之所受。莫非主恩。主恩不匱。亦富亦均。

五雀非售二分銀乎？然在天主之前、固無一雀被遺忘也。即爾頭上之髮、亦莖莖有數。毋事憂懼爾固貴於群雀也。

爾中焉有其子求餅而予以石、

群獸來飲。野驢解渴。飛鳥來集。巢於其林。相顧而樂。嚶嚶其鳴。

此正異邦人之所營者、爾之有需乎此、天父庸有不知；
