可是他里面没有根，只是暂时的；一旦为道遭遇患难，受到迫害，就立刻跌倒了。

于是王对侍从说：‘把他的手和脚都绑起来，丢到外面的黑暗里，在那里必要哀哭切齿。’

耶稣转过来对彼得说：“撒但！退到我后面去！你是绊脚石，因为你不思念神的事，只思念人的事。”

不可因食物的缘故拆毁神的工作。一切都是洁净的，但人若因食物绊倒弟兄，对他来说，这就是恶事了。无论是吃肉，是喝酒，或是什么使你的弟兄跌倒的事，一律不要作才好。

所以，如果食物使我的弟兄跌倒，我就永远不再吃肉，免得使我的弟兄跌倒了。

弟兄们，如果我仍旧传割礼，我为什么还受迫害呢？若是这样，十字架绊倒人的地方就没有了。
