“又有这样的吩咐：‘人若休妻，就应当给她休书。’

“还有话说，‘人若休妻，必须给她休书’。

“又有吩咐：‘如果有人休妻，要给妻子一份休书。’

「又有話說：『無論誰休妻，都要給她休書。』

「又有話說：『無論誰休妻，都要給她休書。』

「還有話說，『人若休妻，必須給她休書』。

“又有這樣的吩咐：‘人若休妻，就應當給她休書。’

『又有話說：「無論誰離棄妻子，總要給她離婚書。」

「又有吩咐：『如果有人休妻，要給妻子一份休書。』

又言若人出妻、宜以離書與之、

又言、若人出妻、則以離書與之、

又有言云、若人出妻、當以離書予之、

古人有言：「出妻當予以休書。」

“ It has been said,‘ Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’

“ It has been said,‘ Suppose a man divorces his wife. If he does, he must give her a letter of divorce.’( Deuteronomy 24:1)

“ It was also said,‘ Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’

“ You have heard the law that says,‘ A man can divorce his wife by merely giving her a written notice of divorce.’

“ It was also said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written notice of divorce.

“ Now it was said,‘ Whoever sends his wife away is to give her a certificate of divorce’;

“ Furthermore it has been said,‘ Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’

It was said also, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

“ It was also said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written notice of divorce.

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

“ It was said,‘ Whoever divorces his wife must give her a legal document.’

“ It was also said,‘ Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’

“人娶了妻子，得着她以后，如果发现她有丑事，以致不喜悦她，他就可以给她写休书，交在她手里，叫她离开夫家；她离开夫家以后，就可以去再嫁别人。如果后夫又恨她，也给她写休书，交在她手里，叫她离开他的家；或者娶她为妻的后夫死了；那么，叫她离开的前夫，不可在她受了污辱以后，再娶她为妻，因为这在耶和华面前是可厌可恶的事；你不可使耶和华你的神赐给你作产业的土地蒙受罪污。

他们就问：“为什么摩西却吩咐‘人若给了休书，就可以休妻’呢？”

耶和华说：“人若是休妻，妻子离开了他，又嫁了别人，前夫怎能与她复合呢？如果复合，那地不是大大玷污了吗？你曾与许多情人行淫，还想归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。

法利赛人前来试探耶稣，说：“人根据某些理由休妻，可以吗？”

有法利赛人前来试探耶稣，问他：“丈夫可以休妻吗？耶稣回答：“摩西吩咐你们的是什么呢？”他们说：“摩西准许‘人写了休书就可以休妻’。”耶稣说：“因为你们的心硬，摩西才写这条例给你们。但从起初创造的时候，神是‘造男造女’。‘因此人要离开父母，与妻子连合，二人成为一体了。’这样，他们不再是两个人，而是一体的了。所以神所配合的，人不可分开。”
