爾若依形軀而生、則必死、惟以神而泯身之所行者、則必生、

基督既以身受苦、爾亦宜以此志自衛、蓋受苦於身者、則與罪絕矣、俾不再循人慾、惟循上帝之旨、以度餘年、爾往時從異邦人之欲、而行邪侈、縱恣、沉湎、荒宴、盤樂、及違理拜像之事亦足矣、

且屬基督耶穌者、已以形軀及其情慾、釘於十架矣、○

乃知舊日之我、與之同釘、俾罪之體泯、不復為罪所役、

乃攻克己身使之服從、恐我宣諸人而自見棄焉、

倘爾一手一足陷爾、則斫而棄之、寧殘與跛入於生、勝於二手二足委永火、倘爾一目陷爾、則抉而棄之、寧一目入於生、勝於二目委火獄、

蓋凡欲救其生者、將喪之、為我喪其生者、將救之、利盡天下、而自喪自亡、何益之有、

利盡天下、而失其生、何益之有、

利盡天下、而失其生、何益之有、人將以何者易其生乎、

惟我語汝、怒兄弟者干乎鞫、謂兄弟曰、愚者、干乎公會、曰妄者、干乎火獄、

爾行宜遠之、勿近其室門、免爾尊榮畀他人、歲月供殘暴、資財充於外人、辛勞歸於他家、終則形銷體敗、難免咨嗟、乃曰、我何恨惡訓誨、心輕斥責、不從師言、不聽傅訓、於羣眾大會中、幾干諸咎、

蛇乎、蝮類歟、安能逭地獄之刑乎、

蓋有生而閹者、有被人閹者、亦有為天國自閹者、斯言能納者納之、○

禍哉、爾偽善之士子、與法利賽人乎、以爾周行水陸、使一人進教、既進矣、乃使為地獄之人、較倍於爾也、○

殺身而不能殺魂者、勿懼之、寧懼能滅身及魂於地獄者、

我以當懼者示爾、即殺後、又有權投於地獄者、我誠語汝、當懼者此也、
