卒坐於彼守之、

立於前之百夫長、見耶穌如是大呼而氣絕、乃曰、此人誠為天主之子、

彼賴天主、若為天主所悅、今可拯之、蓋彼嘗言我乃天主子也、

百夫長見此事、歸榮天主云、是誠義人也、聚觀之眾、歷見此事、搥胸而返、素與耶穌相識者、及自迦利利同來之婦、皆遠立以觀斯事、○

遂率百夫長數人、及兵卒、趨至眾中、眾見千夫長與兵卒、即不復撲保羅、

百夫長欲救保羅、阻其議、命能泅水者、先下水、泅而登岸、

耶穌進加伯農時、有百夫長就之曰、

遂召百夫長二人曰、備卒二百、騎七十、持戟者二百、今夜亥初、今夜亥初原文作夜第三時往該撒利亞、

既擬定使我儕航海往以大利、遂將保羅及他囚數人、付奧古司督隊之一百夫長、名猶流、

試者就之曰、爾若天主之子、可令此石變餅、

保羅請一百夫長至、曰、引此少者見千夫長、有事告之、

爾毀聖殿、三日復建者、今宜自救、爾若為天主之子、可自十字架而下、

耶穌默然、大祭司曰、我令爾指永生天主誓而告我、爾果天主之子基督否、

王三遣五十夫長及其五十人、此三遣之五十夫長既至、登山屈膝、跪於以利亞前、懇求曰、神人歟、乞以我之命、及此爾僕五十人之命為寶、前者火自天降、燬五十夫長二人、及其所率者各五十人、今乞以我命為寶、

該撒利亞有人、名哥尼流、乃以大利隊之百夫長也、

眾曰、然則爾為天主之子乎、對曰、爾言我是也、

眾聞此言、中心若刺、問彼得及其餘使徒曰、兄弟、我當何為、

當時地大震、城傾圮十分之一、死於地震者七千人、餘者驚懼、歸榮天主、

獄吏命人攜火來、即奔入獄內、戰慄俯伏於保羅西拉前、導之出、曰、先生、原文作吾主我當何為、乃可得救、

猶太人對曰、我有律法、按我律法、彼罪當死、因自稱為天主之子、

以聖德之神論之、因其由死復活、以大權能明證為天主之子、即我主耶穌基督、
