一到早晨，眾祭司長、長老、文士，和全議會的人大家商議，就把耶穌綁着，解去，交給彼拉多。

他們把耶穌從該亞法那裏押解到總督府。那時是清早。他們自己卻不進總督府，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的宴席。

天一亮，民間的眾長老、祭司長和文士都聚集，把耶穌帶到他們的議會裏，

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們當着人的面把天國的門關了，自己不進去，要進去的人，你們也不容他們進去。

他們若不行惡，難以成眠，不使人跌倒，就睡臥不安；因為他們以邪惡當餅吃，以暴力當酒喝。但義人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到正午。

禍哉，那些在床上圖謀罪孽、籌劃惡事的人！天一亮，他們因手中有能力就去行惡。

那時，祭司長和百姓的長老聚集在那稱為該亞法的大祭司的院裏。大家商議要設計捉拿耶穌，把他殺掉。

使徒聽了這話，天將亮的時候就進聖殿裏去教導人。大祭司和他一起的人來了，叫齊議會的人和以色列人的眾長老，然後派人到監牢裏去把使徒提出來。

世上的君王都站穩，臣宰一同算計，要對抗耶和華，對抗他的受膏者：

他們聽見了，就同心合意地高聲向神說：「主宰啊！你是那創造天、地、海和其中萬物的；你曾藉着聖靈託你僕人－我們祖宗大衛的口說：『外邦為甚麼擾動？萬民為甚麼謀算虛妄的事？地上的君王都站穩，臣宰也聚集一處，要對抗主，對抗主的受膏者。』希律和本丟‧彼拉多，同外邦人和以色列民，果然在這城裏聚集，要攻打你所膏的聖僕耶穌，做了你手和你旨意所預定必成就的事。

有人告訴迦薩人說：「參孫到這裏來了！」他們就包圍起來，整夜在城門埋伏等着他。他們整夜靜悄悄地，說：「等到天一亮我們就殺他。」

眾人都起來，把耶穌解到彼拉多面前。他們開始控告他說：「我們見這人煽惑我們的國民，禁止我們納稅給凱撒，並說自己是基督，是王。」

掃羅派一些使者到大衛的房屋那裏守着他，等到天亮要殺他。大衛的妻子米甲對大衛說：「你今夜若不逃命，明日就要被殺。」
