As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately.“ Tell us,” they said,“ when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

耶穌對曰：『何時何期、非爾等所可知、惟父自定、

耶穌在忠果山面殿而坐伯鐸祿雅谷伯、若望、安德烈竊問曰：『事見何時？請賜明示。事先復有何兆？』

行近耶路撒冷、抵白德熱村、忠果山下。耶穌遣二徒

不然、創世以來基督之受苦難、將不勝其頻繁矣。實則在茲季世，基督方始降世、自作一勞永逸之祭獻、以除免世罪耳。

若家主知盜何時將至、則必儆醒守備、不令穴室。

人子之臨、正如諾厄時事；

撒稗之讐、魔鬼也；麥秋、世界末日也；刈者、天神也；束稗而投於火、世界末日、亦復如是。

爾可於鳳菓樹習一教訓：方其枝柔葉綠、知夏令在邇；爾見以上諸事、可知人子已及門矣。

蓋正如電光發自東方、照徹西方、人子之臨、亦復如是。

世界末日、亦復如是。天神四出、抉群逆於諸善、

至於此事實現之時日、亦無庸為爾書之。爾固明知主日之臨、突如其來。有如不速之客之夜襲也。人方曰：「平安無虞、」而倏忽之間、大難已臨其身、正如臨蓐之婦、欲避分娩之苦、未由也已。惟我兄弟。既不處黑暗之中、屆時當不致襲爾如不速之客。蓋爾皆為光明之子、旦晝之人、非屬於暮夜與黑暗也。故吾人不欲效世人之醉生夢死、常宜昭昭惺惺、淡泊有節。蓋沉睡者必於昏夜、狂飲者亦必於昏夜。吾人既屬旦晝、可不恆懷惕若、終日乾乾、擁信愛以為甲、戴望德以為胄、而期待救恩乎。蓋天主之恩召、非欲吾人嬰其震怒、乃欲吾人因吾主耶穌基督而沾溉救恩。基督之為吾人而死、亦欲吾人無論生前死後、與之共生而已。故望兄弟、一本爾所素行、互相勸慰、互相鼓勵。

凡予所諭於爾者、爾亦當教之共守。予日與爾俱、迄於世末。』

伯鐸祿見斯人、而問耶穌曰：『主乎、此人將如何？』耶穌曰：『縱欲留彼於世、以俟予之重來、亦何與於汝？汝惟從予而已！』

人問之曰：『事在何時、將臨更有何兆？』

曰：『以爾無信故也。蓋吾實語爾、苟有信德如芥子、即命此山自移、亦必從焉；且無事不成也。

人猶不覺；洪水倏至、咸遭滅頂；人子之臨亦復如是。

嗣辭眾回寓、諸弟子進而請曰：『請為我闡明田荑之喻。』

門徒進曰：『法利塞人聞是言、殊深疑怪、子知之乎？』

門徒進曰：『夫子訓眾、必以譬喻何也？』耶穌曰：『天國之蘊奧、賜爾知之、不賜若輩；
