王又派了别的奴仆，说：‘你们去对那些被邀请的人说，看哪，我的午餐我已经预备好了，公牛和肥畜已经宰杀了，一切都预备好了，请你们来赴婚宴。’

王又派了別的奴僕，說：『你們去對那些被邀請的人說，看哪，我的午餐我已經預備好了，公牛和肥畜已經宰殺了，一切都預備好了，請你們來赴婚宴。』

Again he sent other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ See, I have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast.”’

Again, he sent out other servants and said,‘ Tell those who are invited: See, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

Again he sent other slaves, saying,‘ Tell those who have been invited,“ Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fattened cattle are all butchered and everything is ready. Come to the wedding feast!” ’

Again, he sent out other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’

Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them that are bidden, Behold, I have made ready my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come to the marriage feast.

Again, he sent out other slaves, and said,‘ Tell those who are invited: Look, I’ve prepared my dinner; my oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’

Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and[ my] fatlings[ are] killed, and all things[ are] ready: come unto the marriage.

Again he sent other slaves, saying,‘ Tell those who have been invited,“ Look! The feast I have prepared for you is ready. My oxen and fattened cattle have been slaughtered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.”’

Again he sent out other servants, saying,‘ Tell those who are invited,“ Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding feast!”’

Then Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and declared,“ It was necessary that we first preach the word of God to you Jews. But since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles.

So the landowner sent a larger group of his servants to collect for him, but the results were the same.

And he said to his servants,‘ The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited aren’t worthy of the honor.

Get rid of the old“ yeast” by removing this wicked person from among you. Then you will be like a fresh batch of dough made without yeast, which is what you really are. Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us.So let us celebrate the festival, not with the old bread of wickedness and evil, but with the new bread of sincerity and truth.

When the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests,‘ Come, the banquet is ready.’

O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help.

Three days after Paul’s arrival, he called together the local Jewish leaders. He said to them,“ Brothers, I was arrested in Jerusalem and handed over to the Roman government, even though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors.The Romans tried me and wanted to release me, because they found no cause for the death sentence.But when the Jewish leaders protested the decision, I felt it necessary to appeal to Caesar, even though I had no desire to press charges against my own people.I asked you to come here today so we could get acquainted and so I could explain to you that I am bound with this chain because I believe that the hope of Israel— the Messiah— has already come.”They replied,“ We have had no letters from Judea or reports against you from anyone who has come here.But we want to hear what you believe, for the only thing we know about this movement is that it is denounced everywhere.”So a time was set, and on that day a large number of people came to Paul’s lodging. He explained and testified about the Kingdom of God and tried to persuade them about Jesus from the Scriptures. Using the law of Moses and the books of the prophets, he spoke to them from morning until evening.Some were persuaded by the things he said, but others did not believe.And after they had argued back and forth among themselves, they left with this final word from Paul:“ The Holy Spirit was right when he said to your ancestors through Isaiah the prophet,‘ Go and say to this people: When you hear what I say, you will not understand. When you see what I do, you will not comprehend.For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them.’So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.”

The Lord now chose seventy two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit.These were his instructions to them:“ The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.Now go, and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves.Don’t take any money with you, nor a traveler’s bag, nor an extra pair of sandals. And don’t stop to greet anyone on the road.“ Whenever you enter someone’s home, first say,‘ May God’s peace be on this house.’If those who live there are peaceful, the blessing will stand; if they are not, the blessing will return to you.Don’t move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, because those who work deserve their pay.“ If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you.Heal the sick, and tell them,‘ The Kingdom of God is near you now.’But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say,‘ We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this— the Kingdom of God is near!’I assure you, even wicked Sodom will be better off than such a town on judgment day.“ What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse.Yes, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on judgment day than you.And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead.”Then he said to the disciples,“ Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me.”

Anyone who eats the bread from heaven, however, will never die.I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live forever; and this bread, which I will offer so the world may live, is my flesh.”Then the people began arguing with each other about what he meant.“ How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” they asked.So Jesus said again,“ I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you.But anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day.For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.I live because of the living Father who sent me; in the same way, anyone who feeds on me will live because of me.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, but only to Jews.However, some of the believers who went to Antioch from Cyprus and Cyrene began preaching to the Gentiles about the Lord Jesus.

And he said,“ Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day.It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem:‘ There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’

I have entered my garden, my treasure, my bride! I gather myrrh with my spices and eat honeycomb with my honey. I drink wine with my milk. Oh, lover and beloved, eat and drink! Yes, drink deeply of your love!

Wisdom has built her house; she has carved its seven columns.She has prepared a great banquet, mixed the wines, and set the table.

They refused to obey and did not remember the miracles you had done for them. Instead, they became stubborn and appointed a leader to take them back to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love. You did not abandon them,

Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
