耶穌被法利賽人詰問、上帝的國幾時要來到，就回答他們說：『上帝國之來臨，並不是以守候窺察而看到的。人也不能說：「看哪，在這裏」，或是「在那裏！」因為上帝的國、你看、就在你們中間呢。』

耶穌回答說：『我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是由水與靈生的，就不能進上帝的國。

但你們呢、你們乃是蒙揀選的族類，是王家的祭司班，是聖別的邦國，是子民做上帝產業的，要叫你們宣揚那召了你們出黑暗而進入他奇妙之光者的神德。

你們要歸我做祭司之國，做聖別之邦」：這些話是你所應當對以色列人說的。』

我告訴你們，從東從西、必有許多人要來，跟亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各一同坐席在天國裏；而本國的子民竟被趕到外邊黑暗裏去；在那裏必有哀哭和切齒。』

敞開城門吧，使義國之民得以進，謹守忠信之輩得以入。

假使我有神言傳講的才能，又明白一切奧祕、一切知識；假使我有全備的信、能夠移山，卻沒有愛，我就算不了甚麼。

看哪，主有一個大能大力者，像一大陣冰雹，一陣毁滅的暴風，像漲溢橫流的大水，他必用暴力的手把它摔落於地。

但我若是靠着上帝的靈趕鬼，那麼上帝的國就臨到你們了。
