Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted,“ Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!”

“ What do you think about the Messiah? Whose son is he?” They replied,“ David’s.”

Then the crowds who went ahead of him and those who followed shouted: Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!

“ Listen, you deaf! Look, you blind, so that you may see.

Then a demon-possessed man who was blind and unable to speak was brought to him. He healed him, so that the man could both speak and see.All the crowds were astounded and said,“ Could this be the Son of David?”

Since he was a prophet, he knew that God had sworn an oath to him to seat one of his descendants on his throne.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed,

We grope along a wall like the blind; we grope like those without eyes. We stumble at noon as though it were twilight; we are like the dead among those who are healthy.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners;to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor, and the day of our God’s vengeance; to comfort all who mourn,

At that time Jesus healed many people of diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and he granted sight to many blind people.

Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came and kept crying out,“ Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely tormented by a demon.”

Then the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped.Then the lame will leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute will sing for joy, for water will gush in the wilderness, and streams in the desert;

I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; I will guide them on paths they have not known. I will turn darkness to light in front of them and rough places into level ground. This is what I will do for them, and I will not abandon them.

As he was passing by, he saw a man blind from birth.His disciples asked him,“ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”“ Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” Jesus answered.“ This came about so that God’s works might be displayed in him.We must do the works of him who sent me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work.As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”After he said these things he spit on the ground, made some mud from the saliva, and spread the mud on his eyes.“ Go,” he told him,“ wash in the pool of Siloam”( which means“ Sent”). So he left, washed, and came back seeing.His neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar said,“ Isn’t this the one who used to sit begging?”Some said,“ He’s the one.” Others were saying,“ No, but he looks like him.” He kept saying,“ I’m the one.”So they asked him,“ Then how were your eyes opened?”He answered,“ The man called Jesus made mud, spread it on my eyes, and told me,‘ Go to Siloam and wash.’ So when I went and washed I received my sight.”“ Where is he?” they asked.“ I don’t know,” he said.

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out,“ Have mercy on us, Son of David!”When he entered the house, the blind men approached him, and Jesus said to them,“ Do you believe that I can do this?” They said to him,“ Yes, Lord.”Then he touched their eyes, saying,“ Let it be done for you according to your faith.”And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus warned them sternly,“ Be sure that no one finds out.”But they went out and spread the news about him throughout that whole area.

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD raises up those who are oppressed. The LORD loves the righteous.

concerning his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who was a descendant of David according to the fleshand was appointed to be the powerful Son of God according to the Spirit of holiness by the resurrection of the dead.

The blind and the lame came to him in the temple, and he healed them.

On that day the deaf will hear the words of a document, and out of a deep darkness the eyes of the blind will see.
