日头快要平西，十二个门徒来对他说：“请叫众人散开，他们好往四面乡村里去借宿找吃的，因为我们这里是野地。”

Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said,“ Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here.”

Late in the afternoon the 12 disciples came to him. They said,“ Send the crowd away. They can go to the nearby villages and countryside. There they can find food and a place to stay. There is nothing here.”

Now the day began to wear away, and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the crowd away to go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find lodging and get provisions, for we are here in a desolate place.”

Late in the afternoon the twelve disciples came to him and said,“ Send the crowds away to the nearby villages and farms, so they can find food and lodging for the night. There is nothing to eat here in this remote place.”

Late in the day, the Twelve approached and said to him,“ Send the crowd away, so that they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside to find food and lodging, because we are in a deserted place here.”

Now the day was ending, and the twelve came up and said to Him,“ Dismiss the crowd, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and get something to eat; because here, we are in a secluded place.”

When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted place here.”

And the day began to wear away; and the twelve came, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages and country round about, and lodge, and get provisions: for we are here in a desert place.

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

Now the day began to draw to a close, so the twelve came and said to Jesus,“ Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and food, because we are in an isolated place.”

The day began to wear away; and the twelve came and said to him,“ Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding villages and farms, and lodge, and get food, for we are here in a deserted place.”

耶穌一句話也不回答她。門徒上前求他說：“請叫她走吧，她一直跟在我們後面喊叫。”

他們妄論神，說：“神可以在曠野擺設筵席嗎？他雖曾擊打磐石，使水湧出來，好像江河氾濫，他還能賜糧食嗎？他還能為自己的子民預備肉食嗎？”

天晚了，門徒前來對他說：“這裡是曠野的地方，天已經很晚了，請叫他們散開，好讓他們往周圍的田舍村莊去，自己買點東西吃。”耶穌回答他們：“你們給他們吃吧！”門徒說：“要我們去買兩百銀幣的餅給他們吃嗎？”耶穌說：“去看看你們有多少餅！”他們知道了，就說：“五個餅，還有兩條魚。”耶穌吩咐他們叫大家分組坐在青草地上。他們就一排一排地坐了下來，有一百的，有五十的。耶穌拿起這五個餅、兩條魚，望著天，祝謝了；然後把餅擘開，遞給門徒擺在群眾面前，又把兩條魚也分給群眾。大家都吃了，並且吃飽了。他們把剩下的零碎撿起來，裝滿了十二個籃子，吃餅的人，男人就有五千。

黃昏的時候，門徒前來對他說：“這是曠野的地方，時間也不早了，請叫群眾散開，好讓他們往村裡去，買自己的食物吧。”耶穌回答：“他們用不著離開，你們給他們吃吧！”但門徒說：“我們這裡除了五個餅和兩條魚，甚麼也沒有。”他說：“拿過來給我。”於是吩咐群眾坐在草地上，拿起那五個餅兩條魚，望著天，祝謝了；然後把餅擘開，遞給門徒，門徒又分給群眾。大家都吃了，並且吃飽了，他們把剩下的零碎拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。吃的人，除了婦女和孩子，約有五千。

耶穌叫門徒前來，說：“我憐憫這一群人，因為他們跟我在一起已經有三天，也沒有甚麼吃的；我不想叫他們餓著肚子回去，恐怕他們在路上暈倒。”

耶穌舉目觀看，見一大群人向他走過來，就對腓力說：“我們從哪裡買餅給這些人吃呢？”他說這話，是要試驗腓力，因他自己早已知道要怎樣作。腓力回答：“就算二百銀幣買的餅，每人分一點，也是不夠的。”有一個門徒，就是西門．彼得的弟弟安得烈，對耶穌說：“這裡有個小孩子，帶著五個大麥餅、兩條魚；只是分給這麼多人，有甚麼用呢？”耶穌吩咐他們：“你們叫眾人坐下。”原來那地方的草很多，眾人就坐下，單是男人的數目約有五千。耶穌拿起餅來，祝謝了，就分給坐著的人；分魚也是這樣，都是隨著他們所要的。他們吃飽了之後，耶穌對門徒說：“把剩下的零碎收拾起來，免得浪費。”門徒就把眾人吃剩那五個大麥餅的零碎收拾起來，裝滿了十二個籃子。眾人看見耶穌所行的神蹟，就說：“這真是那要到世上來的先知。”耶穌知道群眾要來強迫他作王，就獨自又退到山上去了。

這些事以後，耶穌渡過加利利海，就是提比里亞海。

我曾在曠野，在乾旱之地，認識你。
