耶穌回答：“健康的人不需要醫生，有病的人才需要。

主耶和華的靈在我身上，因為耶和華膏了我，叫我傳福音給困苦的人；差遣我去醫治傷心的人，向被擄的宣告自由，向被囚的宣告釋放；

耶穌上了岸，看見一大群人，就憐憫他們，醫好了他們的病人。

差遣他們去宣講神的國和醫治病人，

然而，人還沒有信他，怎能求告他呢？沒有聽見他，怎能信他呢？沒有人傳揚，怎能聽見呢？

因此我告訴你們，神的國要從你們那裡取去，賜給那結果子的外族人。

可見信心是從所聽的道來的，所聽的道是藉著基督的話來的。

他說：“神的國的奧祕，只給你們知道，對別人就用比喻，叫他們看卻看不見，聽卻聽不明白。

凡是父賜給我的人，必到我這裡來；到我這裡來的，我決不丟棄他，

因為連基督也不求自己的喜悅；反而像經上所記的：“辱罵你的人的辱罵，都落在我的身上。”

群眾看見他們走了，有許多人認出了他們，就從各城出來，跑到那裡，比他們先趕到。耶穌一下船，看見一大群人，就憐憫他們，因為他們好像羊沒有牧人一樣，就開始教導他們許多事。

務要傳道；無論時機是否適合，都要常作準備；要以多方的忍耐和教訓責備人、警戒人、勸勉人。

讓飢餓的得飽美食，使富足的空手回去。

耶穌說：“我的食物就是遵行差我來者的旨意，並且完成他的工作。

所以，我們只管坦然無懼地來到施恩的寶座前，為的是要領受憐憫，得到恩惠，作為及時的幫助。
