But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness,just as David also speaks of the blessing of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:“ Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, And whose sins have been covered.Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”

How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered!How blessed is a person whose guilt the Lord does not take into account, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality failed as with the dry heat of summer. My God, incline Your ear and hear! Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city which is called by Your name; for we are not presenting our pleas before You based on any merits of our own, but based on Your great compassion.Lord, hear! bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
