Put On the New Self
Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Or Be intent onSet your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.
For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
Therefore, Lit put to death the parts of your body which are upon the earthtreat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which Lit isamounts to idolatry.

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and I.e., forbearance toward otherspatience;
bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also.
In addition to all these things put on love, which is Lit the uniting bond of perfectionthe perfect bond of unity.
Let the peace of Christ, to which you were Or alsoindeed called in one body, Or be in control inrule in your hearts; and Or show yourselves thankfulbe thankful.

I.e., slaves in first-century Roman culture Slaves, obey those who are your Lit masters according to fleshhuman masters in everything, not with I.e., working only when watchedeye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
Whatever you do, do your work Lit from the soulheartily, as for the Lord and not for people,
knowing that it is from the Lord that you will receive the reward I.e., consisting ofof the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.
