He went on from there and entered their synagogue.And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”— so that they might accuse him.He said to them,“ Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out?Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.”Then he said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” And the man stretched it out, and it was restored, healthy like the other.But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how to destroy him.

And he went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. And he was teaching them on the Sabbath,

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. And as was his custom, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and he stood up to read.

In these lay a multitude of invalids— blind, lame, and paralyzed.

And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.

Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

Some of the Pharisees said,“ This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.” But others said,“ How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” And there was a division among them.

And Jesus responded to the lawyers and Pharisees, saying,“ Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?”

And he laid his hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God.But the ruler of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the people,“ There are six days in which work ought to be done. Come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”

On a Sabbath, while he was going through the grainfields, his disciples plucked and ate some heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands.

And when the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar at Bethel, Jeroboam stretched out his hand from the altar, saying,“ Seize him.” And his hand, which he stretched out against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back to himself.

“ Woe to my worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! Let his arm be wholly withered, his right eye utterly blinded!”
