How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when you yourself fail to see the plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your friend,‘ Let me take the bit of sawdust out of your eye’? How can you say this while there is a piece of wood in your own eye? You pretender! First take the piece of wood out of your own eye. Then you will be able to see clearly to take the bit of sawdust out of your friend’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

How can you think of saying,‘ Friend, let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Or how can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.

How can you say to your brother,‘ Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother’s eye.

你說，我很富有，已經發了財，什麼都不缺。你卻不知道自己困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身露體。我勸你向我買精煉的金子，使你真正富有。你也要向我買白袍穿在身上，好遮蓋你赤身露體的羞辱。你也要向我買眼藥抹眼睛，使你能看見。

「眼睛是身上的燈。如果你的眼睛明亮，全身都光明；要是你的眼睛昏花，全身就黑暗。如果你裡面的光黑暗了，那黑暗是多麼大啊！

就是替阿尼西謀求你。他是我在獄中帶領歸主的屬靈兒子，他過去對你沒有什麼益處，但現在對你對我都有益處。

因此，你這論斷人的啊，不管你是誰，都難逃罪責。你在什麼事上論斷別人，就在什麼事上定了自己的罪，因為你論斷別人的事，自己也在做。

求你饒恕我的罪過，除去我一切的罪惡。上帝啊，求你為我造一顆純潔的心，使我裡面重新有正直的靈。不要丟棄我，使我離開你，也不要從我身上收回你的聖靈。求你讓我重新享受蒙你拯救的喜樂，賜我一顆樂意順服你的心靈。這樣，我就能把你的法則教導罪人，使他們歸向你。

「你這魔鬼的兒子，充滿了詭詐和邪惡，是一切正義之敵，到現在還想歪曲主的正道嗎？

彼得說：「你們每一個人都要悔改，奉耶穌基督的名受洗，使你們的罪得到赦免，你們就必領受上帝所賜的聖靈。

這一切都是上帝的作為，祂藉著基督使我們與祂和好，又把勸人與祂和好的職分賜給了我們。

那麼，你這教導別人的，為什麼不教導自己呢？你教導人不可偷盜，自己卻偷盜嗎？你告訴他人不可通姦，自己卻通姦嗎？你憎惡偶像，自己卻去偷廟裡的東西嗎？你以律法自誇，自己卻違犯律法羞辱上帝嗎？正如聖經上說：「因你們的緣故，上帝的名在外族人中受到褻瀆！」如果你遵行律法，割禮才有價值；如果你違犯律法，受了割禮也如同未受割禮。如果未受割禮的人遵行律法的教導，他豈不算是受了割禮嗎？身體未受割禮卻遵行律法的人，必審判你這有律法條文、受了割禮卻違犯律法的人。因為徒具外表的猶太人不是真正的猶太人，身體上的割禮也不是真正的割禮。唯有從心裡做猶太人的才是真猶太人，真割禮是藉著聖靈在心裡受的割禮，不在於律法條文。這樣的人得到的稱讚不是從人來的，而是從上帝來的。

先告狀的看似有理，一經對質真相大白。

我們怎樣以聖潔、公義、純全的方式對待你們眾信徒，你們自己可以作證，上帝也可以作證。你們也知道，我們對待你們就像父親對待自己的孩子一樣。我們安慰你們，勸勉你們，督促你們，好叫你們行事為人對得起上帝，祂呼召你們進入祂的國、享受祂的榮耀。

「虛偽的律法教師和法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！因為你們當著人們的面關閉天國之門，自己不進去，也不讓別人進去。

主說：「你們這些偽君子，莫非你們在安息日不解開棚裡的牛和驢，帶牠們去喝水嗎？

缺乏上述品德的人不是瞎眼就是目光短淺，忘記他從前的罪已經得到潔淨。

人若潔身自愛，遠離卑賤的事，就必成為聖潔無瑕的貴重器皿，可以被主用來成就各樣的善事。

但上帝對惡人說：「你怎能背誦我的律法，談論我的約？你憎惡我的管教，把我的話拋在腦後。你見了盜賊就與他同流合污，又喜歡與淫亂的人交往。你滿口惡言，謊話連篇，肆意譭謗自己的同胞兄弟。我對你的所作所為默然不語，你就以為我與你是同道。現在我要責備你，當面指出你的罪狀。

你在上帝面前心術不正，休想在我們的事工上有份。

彼得想起耶穌說的話：「在雞叫以前，你會三次不認我。」他就跑出去，失聲痛哭。

但我已經為你禱告了，叫你不至於失去信心。你回頭以後，要讓你的弟兄剛強。」

一連三天，掃羅什麼也看不見，也不吃也不喝。這時候，在大馬士革有個門徒名叫亞拿尼亞，他在異象中聽見主呼喚他的名字，就回答說：「主啊，我在這裡。」主說：「起來，到直街的猶大家去見一個來自大數、名叫掃羅的人，他正在向我禱告。我讓他在異象中看見一個名叫亞拿尼亞的人去他那裡，把手按在他身上，使他恢復視力。」亞拿尼亞回答說：「主啊！我聽見許多人說他對耶路撒冷的信徒大加迫害。他來這裡是得到祭司長的授權，要拘捕所有求告你名的人。」主對亞拿尼亞說：「你放心去吧！他是我揀選的器皿，要向外族人、君王和以色列人宣揚我的名。我會讓他知道他必為我的名而受許多的苦。」亞拿尼亞去了，進了那家，就把手按在掃羅身上，說：「掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的主耶穌派我來使你重見光明、被聖靈充滿。」頓時，掃羅的眼睛上有鱗片似的東西脫落，他立刻恢復了視力，便起來接受了洗禮。他吃過東西之後，體力也恢復了。他和大馬士革的門徒住了幾天之後，便到各會堂去宣講：「耶穌是上帝的兒子。」
