耶稣又对邀请他的人说：“你预备午餐或晚餐的时候，不要叫你的朋友、兄弟、亲戚或富有的邻居，免得他们也回请你，你就得了你的回报了。

又謂請之者曰、爾設午餐、或晚餐、毋招爾朋友、兄弟、親戚、富鄰、恐彼復招爾而受其報也、

耶穌復告主人曰：『爾設宴時、毋邀良朋昆弟戚屬富鄰、誠恐若輩還禮、則爾獲報矣。

Then Jesus said to his host,“ When you give a luncheon or dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors; if you do, they may invite you back and so you will be repaid.

Then Jesus spoke to his host.“ Suppose you give a lunch or a dinner,” he said.“ Do not invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, or your relatives, or your rich neighbors. If you do, they may invite you to eat with them. So you will be paid back.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you give a dinner or a banquet, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return and you be repaid.

Then he turned to his host.“ When you put on a luncheon or a banquet,” he said,“ don’t invite your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will invite you back, and that will be your only reward.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers or sisters, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Now He also went on to say to the one who had invited Him,“ Whenever you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor wealthy neighbors, otherwise they may also invite you to a meal in return, and that will be your repayment.

Then He also said to him who invited Him,“ When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.

And he said to him also that had bidden him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, nor thy kinsmen, nor rich neighbors; lest haply they also bid thee again, and a recompense be made thee.

He also said to the one who had invited Him,“ When you give a lunch or a dinner, don’t invite your friends, your brothers, your relatives, or your rich neighbors, because they might invite you back, and you would be repaid.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor[ thy] rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.

He said also to the man who had invited him,“ When you host a dinner or a banquet, don’t invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors so you can be invited by them in return and get repaid.

He also said to the one who had invited him,“ When you make a dinner or a supper, don’t call your friends, nor your brothers, nor your kinsmen, nor rich neighbors, or perhaps they might also return the favor, and pay you back.

其实你们如果只爱那些爱你们的人，会有什么报偿呢？连税吏不也这样做吗？

我的弟兄们，你们应当持守对我们荣耀的主耶稣基督的信仰，不要怀着偏待人的心。如果有一个戴着金戒指、穿着华丽衣服的人进了你们的会堂，又有一个穿着肮脏衣服的穷人也进来了，你们却看重那穿华丽衣服的人，对他说“请你坐在这好位子上”，而对那穷人说“你站在那里”，或说“坐在我的脚凳下边”；难道你们中间不就有了歧视，而你们也成了心怀恶念的审判官吗？我亲爱的弟兄们，请听！神难道不是拣选了世上的那些贫穷人，使他们在信仰上富有，并且做他国度的继承人吗？这国度是他应许给爱他之人的。但你们却侮辱了这贫穷人！那欺压你们、把你们拉上法庭的，难道不是那些富有的人吗？

欺压贫弱者使自己富有的，送礼给富人的，都必缺乏。

“你们要谨慎，不可为了让别人看到而在人面前行你们的义，否则就得不到你们天父的报偿了。所以你施舍的时候，不要在自己前面吹号，像伪善的人那样。他们在会堂里和大街上这样做，是为了要得人的荣耀。我确实地告诉你们：他们已经得到了他们的报偿。你施舍的时候，不要让你的左手知道右手所做的，好使你的施舍行在隐秘中。这样，你那在隐秘中察看的父就将回报你。

如果你们只爱那些爱你们的人，难道有什么可称赞的吗？其实连罪人也爱那些爱他们的人。如果你们只善待那些善待你们的人，难道有什么可称赞的吗？连罪人也这样做。如果你们借东西，只借给那些有指望能从他们收取的人，那有什么可称赞的呢？就是罪人也借给罪人，为要如数收回。不过你们要爱你们的敌人，要善待人；借出去，不指望任何偿还。这样，你们的报偿就大了，而且你们将成为至高者的儿女，因为他以仁慈待那些忘恩负义和邪恶的人。你们要仁慈，正如你们的父是仁慈的。

穷人甚至被他的邻人所恨恶；富人却有许多喜爱他的人。

他用美物满足饥饿的人，让富有的人空手而去。

“你们禁食的时候，不要像伪善的人那样愁眉苦脸。他们装出难看的样子，好让人看出他们在禁食。我确实地告诉你们：他们已经得到了他们的报偿。至于你，你禁食的时候，要梳头洗脸，免得被人看出你在禁食；你反而要让你在隐秘中的父看见。这样，你那在隐秘中察看的父就将回报你。
