“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a sabbath to the Lord.

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ You will enter the land I am going to give you. When you do, you must honor the Lord every seventh year by not farming the land that year.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you have entered the land I am giving you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath rest before the Lord every seventh year.

This took place to fulfill the LORD’s message delivered through Jeremiah. The land experienced its sabbatical years; it remained desolate for seventy years, as prophesied.

“ For six years you are to sow your land and gather in its produce.

Then the LORD said to him,“ This is the land I promised to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said,‘ I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it, but you will not cross over there.”

When the Most High gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided up humankind, he set the boundaries of the peoples, according to the number of the heavenly assembly.

It is a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must humble yourselves on the ninth day of the month in the evening, from evening until evening you must observe your Sabbath.”

“ I made the earth and the people and animals on it by my mighty power and great strength, and I give it to whomever I see fit.

“ Go up to this Abarim hill country, to Mount Nebo( which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho) and look at the land of Canaan that I am giving to the Israelites as a possession.

It will spill into Judah, flooding and engulfing, as it reaches to the necks of its victims. He will spread his wings out over your entire land, O Immanuel.”

“ When you enter the land of Canaan which I am about to give to you for a possession, and I put a diseased infection in a house in the land you are to possess,

The LORD owns the earth and all it contains, the world and all who live in it.For he set its foundation upon the seas, and established it upon the ocean currents.

The heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to mankind.
