The Lord said to Moses at Mount Sinai,

The Lord spoke to Moses at Mount Sinai. He said,

These things may be treated as an allegory, for these women represent two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai bearing children for slavery; this is Hagar.Now Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.

Now the LORD spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the wilderness of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites departed from the land of Egypt. He said:

On the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle of the testimony.So the Israelites set out on their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud settled in the wilderness of Paran.

In the third month after the Israelites went out from the land of Egypt, on the very day, they came to the Desert of Sinai.
