第三日、加利利之嘉納村、有設婚筵者、耶穌之母在焉；耶穌及諸徒、亦被邀赴宴。酒罄、其母告之曰：『主人酒盡矣。』耶穌應曰：『媼欲何求？吾時未至也。』聖母顧謂侍僕曰：『渠有所諭、悉遵行之。』是處適有石缸六、原為猶太俗取潔禮而設者、每缸容水二三罈。耶穌命諸僕曰：『實缸以水。』僕實之、既盈。耶穌又諭之曰：『挹之以進司席。』僕如命以進、水已變酒、司席嘗之、而不知其所從來、惟汲水之僕知之。司席呼新婿曰：『人皆先進美酒、客酣、然後進其次者；若乃留美酒以至斯時耶！』是為耶穌顯靈蹟之始、行於加利利之嘉納村；聲譽日著、門徒乃信焉。

死喪臨身。火燃眉睫。大聲疾呼。求主救急。

救爾出苦難。賜爾贊化育。

既入人叢中、有人趨至耶穌前而跽曰：『主其矜憐吾子、彼患癲癇甚苦。頻跌於火、屢墮於水。我攜之就爾徒、而若輩不能治也。』

蓋彼惟有一女、年十二、病瀕危矣。耶穌起行、人極擁擠。

言未竟。有會董來叩曰：『吾女甫死、務求惠臨撫其身、女必生矣；』

西門伯鐸祿方與多默一名提諦莫、加利利嘉納人納大那慈伯德之二子、及其他二徒相聚處。

有迦南婦人來自彼域、大呼曰：『主、大維子、其垂憐焉。吾女為魔所祟、苦甚』
