當耶穌在耶路撒冷度免難節之日、人見其所行靈蹟、多有信奉其名者；

暮夜來謁耶穌曰：『夫子吾人深知子之來教誨也、乃奉天主之聖命、蓋子所行之靈蹟、苟非天主所輔佑、其孰能行之？』

猶太人之免難節伊邇、耶穌乃上耶路撒冷；見殿中有市牛羊與鴿、及兌錢者坐焉、乃以繩為鞭、盡逐商賈及牛羊出殿、將兌錢者之銀錢傾注於地、而推翻其几、顧謂售鴿者曰：『速收拾以去！勿以吾父之室、轉為貿利之場！』

邑人以其顯欲赴耶路撒冷也、不願予以接納；

耶穌歸、眾方佇望、欣然納之。

耶穌十二歲時、循例同上耶路撒冷。期畢、二親返、而髫齡之耶穌獨留。厥親初弗之覺、意其雜於同行中也。履程一日、則於親友中訪求之、

耶穌徧遊加利利、施訓會堂中、講天國福音、治民間諸疾；聲名洋溢乎敘利亞。凡舁染恙、患病、負痛、中魔、顛癇、癱痿者至前、悉救治之。
