Remember what I told you:‘ A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

Remember what I told you. I said,‘ A slave is not more important than his master.’( John 13:16) If people hated me and tried to hurt me, they will do the same to you. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

其實凡立志在基督耶穌裡過敬虔生活的人都會受到迫害。

「我實實在在地告訴你們，奴僕不能大過主人，受差遣的也不能大過差遣他的人。

「學生不能高過老師，奴僕也不能大過主人。

然而以色列人卻不肯聽從你，因為他們頑固不化，不肯聽從我。

這些猶太人殺死了主耶穌和眾先知，又迫害我們。他們不但冒犯上帝，還與所有的人為敵，

遭受迫害，卻沒有被遺棄；被打倒了，卻沒有死亡。

還要親手勞作。我們被人咒罵，就為對方祝福；受人迫害，就逆來順受；

誰相信我們所傳的呢？耶和華的大能向誰彰顯過呢？祂像嫩芽一樣在耶和華面前長大，像生長在旱地裡的根。祂沒有軒昂俊美的外表可以吸引我們，沒有令我們羡慕的容貌。祂被藐視，遭人厭棄，飽受痛苦，歷盡憂患。人們對祂不屑一顧，我們也不尊重祂。

於是猶太人又拿起石頭要打祂。

「果然如此，希律和本丟·彼拉多、外族人和以色列聚集在這城裡，要對抗你膏立的聖子耶穌，然而他們所做的只不過是你憑自己的能力和旨意所預定的。主啊，你看他們這樣恐嚇我們，求你幫助你的奴僕們坦然無懼地傳你的道。求你伸出手醫治疾病，藉著你聖子耶穌的名行神蹟奇事。」

哪一位先知沒有被你們祖先迫害？那些預言義者——彌賽亞要來的人也被你們的祖先殺害。如今你們竟出賣了那位公義者，殺害了祂！你們接受了上帝藉天使所傳的律法，竟不遵守！」眾人聽了這番話，怒火中燒，咬牙切齒。司提凡卻被聖靈充滿，定睛望天，看見上帝的榮耀和站在上帝右邊的耶穌。司提凡說：「看啊！我看見天開了，人子站在上帝的右邊。」眾人大喊大叫，捂著耳朵，蜂擁而上，把司提凡拉到城外，用石頭打他。指控他的人把他們的衣服交給一個名叫掃羅的青年看管。在亂石擊打之下，司提凡呼求說：「主耶穌啊，接收我的靈魂吧！」然後跪下高聲說：「主啊，不要追究他們的罪！」說完後，就斷氣了。

因為耶穌在安息日給人治病，猶太人開始迫害祂。

我實實在在地告訴你們，人如果遵行我的道，必永遠不死。」

當時祭司長和法利賽人早已下令，如果有人知道耶穌在哪裡，就來報告，他們好去抓祂。

於是，他們就拿起石頭要打祂，耶穌卻避開他們，離開了聖殿。

希緬給他們祝福後，就對孩子的母親瑪麗亞說：「看啊，這孩子必使以色列許多人跌倒、許多人興起。祂將成為眾人攻擊的對象，

法利賽人聽見眾人這樣議論耶穌，就聯合祭司長派差役去抓祂。

耶和華對撒母耳說：「你照他們所說的去做吧，因為他們不是拒絕你，而是拒絕我做他們的王。

學生不會高過老師，學成之後不過像老師一樣。
