耶穌在伯大尼村患過痲瘋病的西門家裡吃飯，有個女人帶了一瓶極貴重的純哪噠香膏進來，把玉瓶打破，將香膏倒在耶穌頭上。有些人生氣地彼此議論說：「為什麼這樣浪費？這瓶香膏可以賣三百多個銀幣來賙濟窮人。」他們就責備那女人。耶穌說：「隨她吧！何必為難她呢？她在我身上做的是一件美事。因為你們身邊總會有窮人，你們隨時都可以幫助他們，可是你們身邊不會總有我。她做了自己能做的。她是為我的安葬做準備，提前用香膏抹了我的身體。

伯大尼村有個名叫拉撒路的人病倒了。伯大尼是瑪麗亞和她姐姐瑪大居住的村莊。

那死者就出來了，手腳都纏著布條，臉上也包著布。耶穌對他們說：「給他解開，讓他走！」

當耶穌在伯大尼患過痲瘋病的西門家裡時，有個女子趁著祂坐席的時候，把一瓶珍貴的香膏倒在祂頭上。門徒看見後，生氣地說：「真浪費，這瓶香膏值不少錢，用來賙濟窮人多好！」耶穌看出他們的心思，便說：「何必為難這女子？她在我身上做的是一件美事。因為你們身邊總會有窮人，可是你們身邊不會總有我。

耶穌進了耶路撒冷，來到聖殿，巡視各處。那時天色已晚，耶穌便和十二門徒出城前往伯大尼。
