God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one— as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”

for I have passed on to them the message you gave me. They accepted it and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.

Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly?

So for the second time they called in the man who had been blind and told him,“ God should get the glory for this, because we know this man Jesus is a sinner.”“ I don’t know whether he is a sinner,” the man replied.“ But I know this: I was blind, and now I can see!”“ But what did he do?” they asked.“ How did he heal you?”“ Look!” the man exclaimed.“ I told you once. Didn’t you listen? Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?”Then they cursed him and said,“ You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses!We know God spoke to Moses, but we don’t even know where this man comes from.”“ Why, that’s very strange!” the man replied.“ He healed my eyes, and yet you don’t know where he comes from?We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will.Ever since the world began, no one has been able to open the eyes of someone born blind.If this man were not from God, he couldn’t have done it.”“ You were born a total sinner!” they answered.“ Are you trying to teach us?” And they threw him out of the synagogue.

Many of the people who were with Mary believed in Jesus when they saw this happen.But some went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.Then the leading priests and Pharisees called the high council together.“ What are we going to do?” they asked each other.“ This man certainly performs many miraculous signs.If we allow him to go on like this, soon everyone will believe in him. Then the Roman army will come and destroy both our Temple and our nation.”Caiaphas, who was high priest at that time, said,“ You don’t know what you’re talking about!You don’t realize that it’s better for you that one man should die for the people than for the whole nation to be destroyed.”

While Jesus was teaching in the Temple, he called out,“ Yes, you know me, and you know where I come from. But I’m not here on my own. The one who sent me is true, and you don’t know him.But I know him because I come from him, and he sent me to you.”

When the people who were at the house consoling Mary saw her leave so hastily, they assumed she was going to Lazarus’s grave to weep. So they followed her there.

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law.

For I have come down from heaven to do the will of God who sent me, not to do my own will.And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”

And if I did, my judgment would be correct in every respect because I am not alone. The Father who sent me is with me.

And the one who sent me is with me— he has not deserted me. For I always do what pleases him.”

Jesus told them,“ If God were your Father, you would love me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on my own, but he sent me.

Then a demon possessed man, who was blind and couldn’t speak, was brought to Jesus. He healed the man so that he could both speak and see.The crowd was amazed and asked,“ Could it be that Jesus is the Son of David, the Messiah?”But when the Pharisees heard about the miracle, they said,“ No wonder he can cast out demons. He gets his power from Satan, the prince of demons.”

The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.

While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God.

But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.

“ O righteous Father, the world doesn’t know you, but I do; and these disciples know you sent me.

“ Now my soul is deeply troubled. Should I pray,‘ Father, save me from this hour’? But this is the very reason I came!Father, bring glory to your name.” Then a voice spoke from heaven, saying,“ I have already brought glory to my name, and I will do so again.”When the crowd heard the voice, some thought it was thunder, while others declared an angel had spoken to him.Then Jesus told them,“ The voice was for your benefit, not mine.

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.This is real love— not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

why do you call it blasphemy when I say,‘ I am the Son of God’? After all, the Father set me apart and sent me into the world.Don’t believe me unless I carry out my Father’s work.But if I do his work, believe in the evidence of the miraculous works I have done, even if you don’t believe me. Then you will know and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”

Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
