“ Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan. For every one of them is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.

Be on guard against your friends. Do not trust the members of your own family. Every one of them cheats. Every friend tells lies.

Let everyone beware of his neighbor, and put no trust in any brother, for every brother is a deceiver, and every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

彼眾悖逆特甚、隨在誹謗、為銅為鐵、悉行邪惡、

彼眾與鄰言誑、厥口諂諛、中懷貳心、諂諛之口、誇大之舌、耶和華必絕之、

懷憾之人、口務文飾、心藏詭譎、其言雖甘、爾勿信之、蓋其心藏可惡之端有七、

勿往來於閭里、評人短長、勿與人敵、致之於死、我乃耶和華也、

匿怨者口言誑、讒謗者為愚人、

曰、今而後、爾不復名雅各、當名以色列、蓋爾與上帝及人較量、而獲勝也、

爾昆弟宗族、以詐待爾、大聲呼於爾後、彼雖以善言語爾、勿信之、

曰、爾弟來、施其詭譎、奪爾福祉、以掃曰、宜其名雅各、彼欺我者再、昔奪我長子之業、今又奪我之嘏耶、又曰、豈更無嘏、可為我祝乎、

舌無誹謗、不虐友朋、不侮鄰里、

妄證以陷鄰者、乃槌、乃刃、乃利矢、

勿意我來施和平於世、我來非施和平、乃興戎耳、蓋我來、俾子疏其父、女疏其母、婦疏其姑、

謹防若人、蓋將付爾於公會、鞭爾於會堂、

勿踰閑、欺乃兄弟、凡如此者、主必報之、如我昔告爾而證之也、

爾將為父母兄弟親戚朋友所付、爾中且有見殺者、

爾既霑主之仁澤、去諸惡慝、詭譎、偽善、媢嫉、毀謗、宜如甫生之嬰、戀純而合宜之乳、使爾由之漸長、以至蒙救、

發誑言而妄證、於昆弟播爭端、○

耶和華所惡者有六、所憎者有七、

奸惡在於其中、暴虐詭譎、不離其衢兮、非敵我者詬我、若然、尚可容忍、非憾我者驕我、若然、則必退避兮、

爾中有毀謗者、流人之血、有人食於山、行淫亂、

兄弟將致兄弟於死、父之於子亦然、子將攻父母而死之、
