你們若不聽，我必因你們的驕傲而在暗地裏哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為永恆主的羣羊被擄了去。

所以我說：『你們請轉眼、別注視着我！讓我苦苦地哭一頓吧！不要因我眾民之毁滅，你們就急地來安慰我。』

我的人民哪，當腰束麻布，在爐灰中打滾；要舉行哀悼、如喪獨生子一樣，苦苦地號咷一頓，因為有毁滅者要突然襲擊我們了。

我的眼因流淚而失明；我的心腸沸騰着；我的肝膽傾倒於地，都因我眾民遭受的破毁，因為孩童和喫奶的在都市廣場上全發昏了。

我的眼直流着淚水河，因為人們不遵守你的律法。

神言人說：『為了我子民的破爛、我的心都破碎了；我悲傷哀悼，驚駭將我抓住。在基列難道沒有止痛乳香？那裏難道沒有醫生麼？我子民的新肉為甚麼總不長呢？

因此我要為西比瑪的葡萄樹而哀哭，用雅謝人的哀哭來哭。希實本、以利亞利啊，我要用眼淚浸透你；因為你收取果子收割莊稼時，有戰爭的高喊聲降臨了。

故此人子啊，你要歎息，在他們眼前腰骨折地歎息，苦苦地歎息。若有人問你說：「你為甚麼歎息？」你要說：「因為有風聲說有事情要臨到，人就都膽戰心驚，手都發軟，精神都衰頹，膝蓋都柔弱如水。看吧，快臨到了！那是必定發生的」』：主永恆主發神諭說。

『你要將這話對他們說：「願我的眼流下淚水，晝夜不息；因為我的子民受了極厲害的擊傷，破裂的破爛很大。

人終日不斷地譏笑我說：『你的上帝在哪裏？』我便晝夜不住地流眼淚當飯喫。

向永恆主哀叫哦！錫安小姐啊，悲歎哦！願你眼淚直流如河，黑夜白日不讓休息，不讓你眼停止流淚。夜間每到交更時分，你要起來喊求，在主面前傾心如水！你的孩童在各街頭受餓發昏，你要為他們的性命向主舉手禱告。

我的眼直流淚河，都因我眾民遭受的破毁。『我的眼直流淚，不停止，沒有休息，

我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我翻騰難過；我心房的牆直跳動着；我的心向我自己在悲歎哀鳴；我不能緘默不作聲；因為我聽見了號角聲，戰爭的吶喊。
