For I will stir up and bring against Babylon an alliance of great nations from the land of the north. They will take up their positions against her, and from the north she will be captured. Their arrows will be like skilled warriors who do not return empty-handed.

必有一族、自北方而來、大邦多王、自地極而至、執弓持戟、殘忍不慈、聲若海濤、巴比倫歟、彼俱乘馬、合若一人、列陣攻爾、

亦使爾隨敵往爾所未識之地、因我震怒如火之燃、攻爾如焚、○

爾曹當自地極來攻迦勒底邦、開其倉廩、積之如禾堆、殺滅務盡、毋遺一人、

我必激瑪代人來擊之、瑪代人不重銀、不悅金、以弓擊傷少者、不矜憐嬰兒、其目不顧惜孩提、

主曰、當往攻背逆之邦、邦或作邑當罰其居民、殺戮毀滅淨盡、遵我所命爾者而行、

當招集善射者來攻巴比倫、惟爾挽弓者、列營於其四周而困之、不容一人逃避、視其所為而報之、循其所行而待之、因居心狂傲、逆主以色列之聖主故也、

我得關係重災之默示、欺者行其欺、虐者行其虐、以攔歟、爾當往、瑪代歟、爾當圍困、主云、凡其一切嗟歎、我皆使之止息、
