籠充以禽鳥、其室亦充以詭詐、因而昌盛富有、

籠之有鳥、以誘飛禽、斯民中藏偽詐、以致巨富、亦若是。

其室中充以詐得之財、若籠之充以鳥、因而強盛富有、

Like cages full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; they have become rich and powerful

A hunter uses tricks to fill his cage with birds. And my people have filled their houses with a lot of goods. They have become rich and powerful.

Like a cage full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; therefore they have become great and rich;

Like a cage filled with birds, their homes are filled with evil plots. And now they are great and rich.

Like a cage full of birds, so their houses are full of deceit. Therefore they have grown powerful and rich.

我哪能忘卻惡人家中的不義財寶、和那些可怒的小升斗呢？用不公道的天平、口袋中用詭詐法碼的、我哪能算他為純潔呢？

欺凌加上欺凌，詭詐加上詭詐，總不肯認識我：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

為自己的家積蓄着不義的臭錢，去在高處搭窩，指望着安穩、免受災禍之掌握的、有禍啊！你剪除掉許多外族之民，圖謀使你的家蒙羞，而賠上你自己的性命。牆裏的石頭必哀呼，木寮中的椽子必應聲的。

他們若說：『跟我們同來吧！我們來埋伏，流人的血，來無緣無故地潛伏、害無辜的人；我們來像陰間、把他們活活吞下去，健全無病地吞下，使他們如下陰坑的人；我們就得着各樣寶貴的財物，將所擄掠的裝滿了我們的房屋；

他用強有力的聲音喊着說：『大巴比倫傾覆了！傾覆了！成了鬼魔居住的所在，各樣污穢之靈的巢穴，各樣污穢可恨之鳥的巢穴了。

嘿，作買賣的！他手裏有詭詐的天平，他愛敲竹槓騙人。以法蓮為自己辯護說：『啊，我居然成了巨富了，我為自己得了貨財了』；但他獲得的利必不足以抵銷他所犯的罪。

你們這些踐踏窮人，要使國中困苦人滅絕的啊，聽以下這話哦！你們說：『初一日幾時過去，我們好賣糧食？安息日幾時過去，我們好擺開麥子？賣出用小升斗，收銀用大戥子，用詭詐的天平來騙人，好用銀子收買貧寒人，用一雙鞋換得窮苦人，將棄置為垃圾的麥子賣給人？』

瑪律苦境的居民焦急等候着福利，因為有災禍從永恆主那裏降到耶路撒冷的城門。
