你的大官倔強要造反，跟盜賊作伴；個個都喜愛賄賂，追求私酬；他們不為孤兒伸冤；寡婦的案件呈不到他們面前。

『但是你肥胖了，你粗壯了，你肚滿腸肥了！耶書崙肥胖了、就踢跳，背棄了造他的上帝，辱沒救他的磐石。

看哪，這就是惡人；總享受優游興盛，資財增加。

不欺壓寄居的、或孤兒寡婦，不在這地方流無辜人的血，不隨從別的神而陷害自己，

強盜的帳棚興旺，激動上帝發怒的人安居無慮；這種人將自己手所作的當作所崇拜的神。

看哪、那些割你們田地的工人、他們被你們詐欠的工錢正喊叫呢；那些收割之人的哀呼聲已經入了萬軍之主的耳中了。你們在地上宴樂奢侈；當屠宰的日子還養肥了自己！

你不是只按他們所行的而行，不是只照他們可厭惡之事去作；你乃是以那為小可；故此你一切所行的居然比她們更腐壞。主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，你妹妹所多瑪、她和她的兒女們、尚且沒有行過你和你的兒女們所行過的事呢。看哪，你妹妹所多瑪的罪孽是這樣：她和她的女兒們都狂妄傲慢，食物喫得太飽，大享安逸自得，並沒有扶助困苦貧窮人的手。她們自高自傲，在我面前行可厭惡的事，我看見便將她們除掉。撒瑪利亞所犯的罪還沒有你的一半；你增加了可厭惡之事比她還多，以致你姐妹因你所行一切可厭惡之事倒顯得罪輕。你既判定你姐妹比較罪輕，那麼你，你也就要擔受你自己的羞辱啊；因為你犯的罪比她們的更可厭惡，她們比你更顯得罪輕，那麼你，你也就要擔受你自己的羞辱了。

『你們不按公義而審判，只徇惡人的情面，要到幾時呢？（細拉）你們要為受欺壓的人和孤兒伸冤；要向困苦窮乏人顯義氣。要解救貧寒窮困人，援救他們脫離惡人的手。』

確實聽說你們中間有淫亂的事；這樣的淫亂、連外國人中也沒有：就是有人甚至於收了他父親的妻子。

他們的心肥胖像脂油；我、卻喜悅你的律法。

有人至死十分健壯，享盡康寧安逸；他的奶桶滿滿，他的骨髓滋潤。

『你多麼精於你的路去尋求愛情啊；故此你竟把你的門路教給壞女人了。

因為他臉上蒙着脂肪，腰上積成肥肉。他曾住於被抹毁的城市，人不該住的房屋，就是註定成為土堆的。

因為我搭救了呼救的困苦人、搭救孤兒和無人幫助者。將要滅亡的人給我祝福；我也使寡婦的心歡唱。我以正義為衣服，正義也做衣服覆被着我；我的公平就如外袍與華冠。

難道你熱心於香柏木之建築以爭勝，就可以顯王者的派頭麼？你父親不是也喫也喝，也秉公行義麼？那時他真享福啊！他為困苦和貧窮人伸訴；那時他真有福啊！認識我、不就在於此麼？永恆主發神諭說。但你的眼你的心卻不顧別的，只顧你的不義之財，逕流無辜人之血，直行欺壓人壓制人的事。因此永恆主論猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬、是這麼說的：『人必不為他舉哀，好像人舉哀說：「哀啊，我哥哥！」「哀啊，我姐姐！」人必不為他舉哀，好像人舉哀說：「哀啊，主上啊！」「哀啊，陛下呀！」他必被埋葬，像驢之被埋葬，被拖拉，被拋擲於耶路撒冷城門之外。』

因此驕傲就做了他們的脖鍊兒；強暴的外披也遮住他們。他們的罪孽因體胖而生出；他們心裏所狂想的橫流瀰漫。

她行惡地違背了我的典章、過於列國，干犯了我的律例、過於她四圍的列邦，因為我的典章她棄絕了，我的律例她並沒有遵行。故此主永恆主這麼說：因為你們顯露動亂過於你們四圍的列國；我的律例你們並不遵行，我的典章你們並不謹守；你們四圍列國的規矩你們反而謹守；

願他為民間的困苦人伸冤，拯救貧苦之輩，壓碎那欺壓人的。
