『永恆主這麼說：看吧，有水從北方湧起，成為氾濫的溪河；諸水必氾濫、漫過遍地和其中所有的，以及眾城市和住於其中的居民；人必哀呼喊叫，境內居民都必哀號。

耶和华如此说：“有水从北方发起，成为涨溢的河，要涨过遍地和其中所有的，并城和其中所住的。人必呼喊；境内的居民都必哀号。

耶和华如此说：看哪，有水从北方涨起，成为涨溢的河，要淹没全地和其中所充满的，淹没城和城里的居民。人必呼喊，境内的居民都必哀号。

主如是云、水自北至、成為漲溢之河、泛濫斯地、淹沒其上所有、淹沒城邑與其居民、人俱號呼、居民哀哭、

This is what the Lord says:“ See how the waters are rising in the north; they will become an overflowing torrent. They will overflow the land and everything in it, the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out; all who dwell in the land will wail

The Lord said,“ The armies of Babylon are like waters rising in the north. They will become a great flood. They will flow over the land and everything in it. They will flow over the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out. All those who live in the land will weep.

“ Thus says the Lord: Behold, waters are rising out of the north, and shall become an overflowing torrent; they shall overflow the land and all that fills it, the city and those who dwell in it. Men shall cry out, and every inhabitant of the land shall wail.

This is what the Lord says:“ A flood is coming from the north to overflow the land. It will destroy the land and everything in it— cities and people alike. People will scream in terror, and everyone in the land will wail.

永恆主對我說：『必有災禍從北方爆發，來到這地所有的居民。

願天歡喜，願地快樂；願海和充滿於海中的、澎湃如雷；

哀叫聲傳遍了摩押四境；其哀號聲達到以基蓮；其哀號聲達到比珥以琳。

地和充滿於地上的、世界和住於世間的、都屬於永恆主。

這樣、從日落之處人就必敬畏永恆主的名，從日出之地人就必看見他的榮耀；因為他必像狹急的河流沖來，永恆主的氣直催迫着。

蛇在婦人後面，從口中吐出水來、像江河一樣，要使她被河流沖去。地卻援助婦人。地開了口，把龍從口中所吐出的江河吞下去。

摩押多麼驚慌啊！他們怎樣哀號啊！摩押怎樣轉背而羞愧啊！這樣摩押就成了她四圍眾人所譏笑而驚駭的對象了。』

『從何羅念有哀叫的聲音，毁滅和大破毁！摩押破毁了；人使哀叫聲聽到瑣珥。人們由魯希的上坡哭着哭着上去；因為在何羅念的下坡聽到破毁的哀叫聲。

願海和充滿於海中的、澎湃如雷；願世界和住於其間的、都發聲。

永恆主對神言人耶利米所說的話，論巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒要來攻擊埃及地的事。

來，如今請注意！富足的人哪，應當因你們的慘難、那將要臨到的慘難、來哭泣號咷。

就使我餓了，我也不用告訴你；因為世界和其中所充滿的、都是我的。

門哪，哀號哦！城啊，哀叫哦！非利士全地啊，你都震撼崩潰哦！因為有煙從北方而來，他行伍中並無棄械而逃的。』

假使有人對你們說：『這是獻過祭的東西』，那麼為了那指點的人、並為着良知的緣故、你就別喫了：

但他必用橫流漫過的大水將起來敵對的人全行毁滅，將他的仇敵追趕到黑暗中。

永恆主發神諭說：『當那日必有哀叫的聲音從魚門發出，必有哀號聲從第二區出來，有極大的破毁聲從眾山丘傳開。臼狀窪地的居民哪，哀號哦！因為迦南的商民都完啦；凡運銀子買賣的都被剪除。

軍兵在他面前必完完全全被沖沒而破敗；盟約的人君也必如此。

天使對我說：『你所看見的、淫婦所坐的眾水、就是許多民族、許多羣眾、許多邦國、許多種語言的人。

主萬軍之永恆主，那一摸觸着地，地就熔化，而住在地上的都悲哀；而地都全然漲起像尼羅河，又退落如埃及河的；那在天上建造了樓閣，在地上奠定了穹蒼，呼喚海水給傾倒在地上的：耶和華是他的名。

那執有七碗的七位天使中、有一位來同我說話，說：『你來，我把那坐在眾水之上的大淫婦、地上列王同她行淫的、住地上的人沉醉於她淫亂之酒的大淫婦、所必受的處刑指給你看。』

所以我說：『你們請轉眼、別注視着我！讓我苦苦地哭一頓吧！不要因我眾民之毁滅，你們就急地來安慰我。』因為主萬軍之永恆主使異象平谷中有狼狽驚惶、彼此踐踏、慌慌亂亂的日子：都市被拆毁，呼救聲達到山間。

因為『地和滿地所有的都屬於主』。

輕快的也逃跑不了，英勇的也不能逃脫；就在北方伯拉河邊都絆跌仆倒。『這像尼羅河漲起、其水翻騰像江河的、是誰呢？埃及像尼羅河漲起，其水翻騰像江河；它說：我要漲起，淹沒這地，我要毁滅其居民。
