我們定要照我們口中所說的一切話去做，向天后燒香，獻澆酒祭，按着我們與我們祖先、君王、官長在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街市上素常所做的一樣；因為那時我們得以吃飽、享福樂，並未遇見災禍。

我所欲者我必為之、昔我列祖、王公、在猶大諸邑、耶路撒冷逵衢焚香灌奠、奉事天后、當時咸得果腹、所遇亨通、不遘患難、

必循我口所出之言而為、必焚香灌奠、奉事天后、循我平日所為、循昔我列祖與王公、在猶大諸邑、在耶路撒冷街衢所為、當時我得飽食享福、不遇患難、

We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm.

We will certainly do everything we said we would. We’ll burn incense to the female god called the Queen of Heaven. We’ll pour out drink offerings to her. We’ll do just as we and our people of long ago have done. Our kings and our officials also did it. All of us did it in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food. We were well off. We didn’t suffer any harm.

But we will do everything that we have vowed, make offerings to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we did, both we and our fathers, our kings and our officials, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, and prospered, and saw no disaster.

We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like— just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

Instead, we will do everything we promised: we will burn incense to the queen of heaven and offer drink offerings to her just as we, our ancestors, our kings, and our officials did in Judah’s cities and in Jerusalem’s streets. Then we had enough food, we were well off, and we saw no disaster,

But we will certainly carry out every word that has proceeded from our mouths, by burning sacrifices to the queen of heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, just as we ourselves, our forefathers, our kings, and our leaders did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then we had plenty of food and were well off and saw no misfortune.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. But we will certainly perform every word that has gone out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then had we plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.

孩子撿柴，父親燒火，婦女揉麵做餅，獻給天后，又向別神獻澆酒祭，惹我發怒。

我們的君王、官長、祭司、祖先都不遵守你的律法，不聽從你的誡命和你警戒他們的話。

你嘴唇所說的，你親口承諾的，要照你甘心向耶和華－你神許的願謹守遵行。

他們的母親行了淫亂，懷他們的做了可羞恥的事；因為她說：「我要跟隨我所愛的，我的餅、水、羊毛、麻、油、酒，都是他們給的。」因此，看哪，我要用荊棘堵塞她的道，築牆擋住她，使她找不着路；以致她追隨所愛的人，卻追不上，尋找他們，卻尋不着，就說：「我要回到前夫那裏去，因我那時比現在還好。」她不知道是我給她五穀、新酒和新的油，又加添她的金銀；他們卻用來供奉巴力。因此，我要在收割的日子收回我的五穀，在當令的季節收回我的新酒，我要奪回她用以遮體的羊毛和麻。

以色列人對他們說：「我們寧願在埃及地死在耶和華手中！那時我們坐在肉鍋旁，吃餅得飽。你們卻將我們領出來，到這曠野，要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：你們和你們的妻子口中說過、手裏做到，說：『我們定要向天后還願，向它燒香，獻澆酒祭。』現在你們儘管堅定所許的願，去還願吧！

她丈夫聽見的日子，若把這些全廢了，她口中一切所許的願或約束自己的話就不算為有效。她丈夫已把這些都廢了，耶和華也必赦免她。

他們離棄耶和華－他們神的一切誡命，為自己鑄造了兩個牛犢的像，立了亞舍拉，敬拜天上的萬象，事奉巴力，

他女兒對他說：「我的父親啊，你既向耶和華開了口，就當照你口中所說的向我行，因為耶和華已經在你的仇敵亞捫人身上為你報了仇。」

「你們與你們祖先、君王、官長，以及這地的百姓，在猶大城鎮和耶路撒冷街市上所燒的香，耶和華豈不記得，放在他心上嗎？

耶路撒冷的房屋和猶大君王的宮殿，就是他們在其上向天上的萬象燒香、向別神獻澆酒祭的宮殿房屋，都必被玷污，和陀斐特一樣。』」

他們的結局就是滅亡。他們的神明是自己的肚腹；他們以自己的羞辱為光榮，專以地上的事為念。

他們卻悖逆我，不肯聽從我，不拋棄他們眼中所喜愛的可憎之物，離棄埃及的偶像。「我就說，在埃及地，我要把我的憤怒傾倒在他們身上，向他們發盡我的怒氣。

所以，我自古就給你說明，在事未成以先指示你，免得你說：『這些事是我的偶像所行的，是我雕刻的偶像和鑄造的神像所命定的。』

王就很憂愁，然而因他所發的誓，又因同席的人，不願食言，

人若向耶和華許願或起誓，要約束自己，就不可食言，必須照口中所出的一切話去做。

他們說：「我們必能以舌頭取勝，我們的嘴唇是自己的，誰能作我們的主呢？」

我們與我們的祖宗一同犯罪，偏邪行惡。

因為他們離棄我，向別神燒香，用他們手所做的一切惹我發怒，所以我的憤怒必向這地方發作，總不止息。』

你們祖先的惡行，猶大諸王和后妃的惡行，你們自己和你們妻子的惡行，就是在猶大地和耶路撒冷街市上所做的，你們都忘了嗎？

攻城的迦勒底人必來放火焚燒這城和城裏的房屋；人曾在這房頂上向巴力燒香，向別神獻澆酒祭，惹我發怒。以色列人和猶大人從年輕時，就專做我眼中看為惡的事。以色列人盡以手所做的惹我發怒。這是耶和華說的。這城自從建造的那日直到今日，常惹我的怒氣和憤怒，以致我將這城從我面前除掉；這是因以色列人和猶大人一切的邪惡，就是他們和他們的君王、官長、祭司、先知，並猶大人，以及耶路撒冷居民所做的，惹我發怒。

你們知道，你們得以從你們祖先傳下來虛妄的行為中救贖出來，不是靠着會朽壞的金銀等物，

我們犯罪作惡，行惡叛逆，偏離你的誡命典章，沒有聽從你僕人眾先知奉你的名向我們君王、官長、祖先和這地所有百姓所說的話。主啊，你是公義的，但我們猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民，並你所趕到各國的以色列眾人，不論遠近，因為背叛了你，臉上蒙羞，正如今日一樣。耶和華啊，我們和我們的君王、官長、祖先因得罪了你，臉上就都蒙羞。
