King Zedekiah then gave orders for Jeremiah to be placed in the courtyard of the guard and given a loaf of bread from the street of the bakers each day until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guard.

So King Zedekiah commanded that Jeremiah not be returned to the dungeon. Instead, he was imprisoned in the courtyard of the guard in the royal palace. The king also commanded that Jeremiah be given a loaf of fresh bread every day as long as there was any left in the city. So Jeremiah was put in the palace prison.

So King Zedekiah gave orders, and Jeremiah was placed in the guard’s courtyard. He was given a loaf of bread each day from the bakers’ street until all the bread was gone from the city. So Jeremiah remained in the guard’s courtyard.

Then King Zedekiah gave a command, and they placed Jeremiah in custody in the courtyard of the guardhouse, and gave him a loaf of bread daily from the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was gone. So Jeremiah remained in the courtyard of the guardhouse.

Then Zedekiah the king commanded, and they committed Jeremiah into the court of the guard. They gave him daily a loaf of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city was gone. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

那時候巴比倫王的軍隊圍困着耶路撒冷，神言人耶利米被關在護衛監的院子，就是在猶大王宮的。

四月九日、城裏大鬧饑荒，甚至當地的人民都沒有糧食。

這樣的人必居於高處；磐石之山寨必做他的高壘；他的糧食必長有供應；他的水源永久可靠。

永恆主的眼看敬畏他的人，看仰望他堅愛的人，而援救他們的性命脫離死亡，使他們在饑荒中得以存活。

於是彼得被看守在監裏；教會卻為他迫切地禱告上帝。

但是你們要先尋求他的國和他的義，這一切就都附加給你們了。

保羅在自己所租的房子住了兩整年；凡進來見他的人，他都歡迎接待。

（為了這個、我做帶鎖鍊的大使），使我在這上頭放膽無懼、照所應該講的來講。

夜間每到交更時分，你要起來喊求，在主面前傾心如水！你的孩童在各街頭受餓發昏，你要為他們的性命向主舉手禱告。永恆主啊，看吧！鑒察吧！看你向誰這樣加罰過！婦人哪能喫自己所生育的，喫自己撫弄的嬰孩呢？祭司和神言人哪可在主的聖所中被殺戮呢？

王的心在永恆主手中、像隴溝的水、任隨所喜悅的而流轉。

我們進了羅馬，保羅蒙准許、獨自兒同那看守他、的兵住着。

你要喝那谿谷裏的水；我已吩咐烏鴉在那裏供養你。』以利亞就去，照永恆主的話而行；他去住在約但河東面的基立谿谷中。烏鴉早晨給他叼餅和肉來，晚上也叼餅和肉來；他喝的就是那谿谷裏的水。

我叔叔的兒子哈拿篾果然照永恆主的話到護衛監的院子來對我說：「在便雅憫地的亞拿突我那田地、你要買它，因為那基業的繼承權是在於你；贖回的權也是你的；你要買它。」於是我耶利米就知道這是永恆主的話。

我的眼因流淚而失明；我的心腸沸騰着；我的肝膽傾倒於地，都因我眾民遭受的破毁，因為孩童和喫奶的在都市廣場上全發昏了。當他們在城裏廣場上發昏、像被刺重傷時、當他們在母親懷裏、將要呼出最後一口氣時，他們問母親說：『哪裏有五穀和酒啊？』

在這傳福音的事上、我喫盡了苦惱、甚至於受捆鎖、像犯人一樣；然而上帝之道是不受捆鎖的。

被刀刺死的比被饑荒餓死的還好，因為前者雖被刺傷，還可以喫田間的出產。慈心的婦人，親手煮自己生的孩子；當我眾民遭破毁時，親生孩子做了自己的食品。

人所行的若蒙永恆主所喜悅，永恆主也使他的仇敵跟他和好。

你要倚靠永恆主，要行善；住在地上，安安穩穩地牧放。

他必將你圍困在你各城內，直到你所倚靠高大堅固的城牆在你遍地都被攻下；他必將你圍困在你各城內、在永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的遍地。你的仇敵窘迫你、你在被圍困被窘迫時、必喫你腹中的果子、就是永恆主你的上帝所賜給你的兒女的肉。你中間柔弱而極嬌嫩的人必惡眉惡眼斜視着他弟兄、和他懷中的妻、跟他所剩下的兒女；甚至在你的仇敵窘迫你、而你在各城內被圍困被窘迫時、他所要喫的兒女的肉、他也不肯分一點給他的親人，因為他一無所剩。你中間柔弱嬌養的婦人素來因嬌養柔弱未曾試把腳掌踏地的、必惡眉惡眼斜視着她懷中的丈夫和她的兒女；連從她兩腿間出的胞衣和她所要生的兒女、在你的仇敵把你窘迫在你各城內、而你在被圍困窘迫時、她因樣樣缺乏、也必將胞衣和生兒暗暗地喫掉。

所以你不要以給我們的主作見證為恥，也不要以我這為他做囚犯的為恥；總要按照上帝的能力、為着福音一同喫苦。

喫奶孩子的舌頭因乾渴而貼住上膛；孩童求餅，無人擘給他們。那素來喫爽口物的、如今在街上淒涼涼；那素來在朱紅褥子養大的、如今抱着糞堆睡。

過了兩年，波求非斯都接了腓力斯的任。腓力斯想要對猶太人作個人情，就將保羅留下，仍然帶着鎖鍊。

他們在患難時不至於失望，當饑荒的日子必得飽足。

我們的皮膚發燒如火爐，是因饑荒之燥熱而發的。

他們打發了人去，將耶利米從護衛監的院子提出來，交與沙番的孫子亞希甘的兒子基大利，使他帶出去到家裏。於是耶利米就住在人民中間。耶利米還被鎖禁在護衛監院子裏的時候，永恆主的話傳與耶利米說：

所以我為主的緣故做囚犯的勸你們、行事為人要對得起你們所蒙的呼召。

永恆主的聖民哪，你們要敬畏永恆主，因為敬畏他的一無所缺。少壯獅子有缺乏有饑餓；但尋求永恆主的、甚麼好處都不缺。
