Zedekiah king of Judah will not escape the Babylonians but will certainly be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and will speak with him face to face and see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah, the king of Judah, will not escape from the powerful hands of the armies of Babylon. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. Zedekiah will speak with him face to face. He will see him with his own eyes.

Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye.

King Zedekiah will be captured by the Babylonians and taken to meet the king of Babylon face to face.

King Zedekiah of Judah will not escape from the Chaldeans; indeed, he will certainly be handed over to Babylon’s king. They will speak face to face and meet eye to eye.

但你若不出去归降巴比伦王的将领，这城就必交在迦勒底人的手中；他们必放火烧毁这城，你自己也不能从他们的手里逃脱。’”

犹大王西底家和所有的军兵看见了他们，就逃跑，在夜间逃出城外，经过王的花园，穿过两道城墙中间的门，直往亚拉巴的路上走去。但迦勒底人的军队追赶他们，在耶利哥的原野上追上了西底家，把他拿住，带到哈马地的利比拉去见巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒；尼布甲尼撒就宣判他的罪状。巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子；巴比伦王也杀了犹大所有的显贵，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎了，用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。

后来，西底家王派人去把他带出来；王在自己的宫中私下问他，说：“从耶和华那里有话来吗？”耶利米回答：“有！”又说：“你必交在巴比伦王的手中。”

城终于被攻破了，所有的战士就在夜间从靠近王的花园的两墙中间的那门，逃跑出城。那时迦勒底人在四围攻城；他们就往亚拉巴的方向逃走。迦勒底人的军队追赶王，在耶利哥的原野上把他追上了；他的全军都离开他四散了。他们把王擒住，把他解到利比拉巴比伦王那里；他们就宣判他的罪。他们又在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎，然后用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。

他从以色列王室后裔中选出一人，与他立约，叫他起誓，并且把国中那些有势力的人掳去，使国衰微，不能再兴盛，唯有谨守条约他才可以继续存在。可是这人背叛了巴比伦王，差遣使者到埃及去，要得战马和大军。他能亨通吗？行这样事的人，怎能逃脱呢？他破坏条约，怎能逃脱呢？我指着我的永生起誓：他藐视了自己所起的誓，背弃了与王所立的约，因此他必死在巴比伦，就是那立他作王的巴比伦王的国家。这是耶和华的宣告。敌人建造围城的高墙，筑起攻城土垒要剪除多人的时候，法老率领大军和大队人马，还是不能帮助他作战。他藐视誓言，背弃条约；他已宣誓效忠，却又行了这一切事，所以他必不能逃脱。因此主耶和华这样说：我指着我的永生起誓：他既然藐视我的誓言，背弃我的约，我必使这罪归到他的头上。我要把我的网撒在他身上，他必在我的网罗中被捕获；我要把他带到巴比伦去，并且要在那里因他对我不忠的罪审判他。他军中所有的精兵（按照《马索拉文本》，“精兵”作“逃跑的人”；现参照其他抄本、《七十士译本》和其他古译本翻译），都必倒在刀下；剩下的也必分散到四方；你们就知道说这话的是我耶和华。

迦勒底人的军队追赶，在耶利哥的原野上把西底家追上了；他的全军都离开他四散了。他们把王擒住，把他解到哈马地的利比拉巴比伦王那里；他就宣判他的罪。巴比伦王在利比拉，当着西底家眼前杀了他的众子，也杀了犹大所有的领袖，并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎，然后用铜链锁住他。巴比伦王把他带到巴比伦去，关在牢里，直到他去世的日子。

你这该死、邪恶的以色列王啊！你的日子到了，最后惩罚的时刻到了。’主耶和华这样说：‘你当除去头巾，脱下冠冕！现在情形不同了，卑微的要升高，位高的要降卑！

他们中间的君王必在天黑的时候，把东西扛在肩头上，从他们挖穿的墙带出去；他必蒙住自己的脸，不能看见这地。我要把我的网撒在他身上，他必被我的网罗网住；我要把他带到巴比伦，就是迦勒底人之地；他不会看见那地，却要死在那里。
