可是这人背叛了巴比伦王，差遣使者到埃及去，要得战马和大军。他能亨通吗？行这样事的人，怎能逃脱呢？他破坏条约，怎能逃脱呢？

‘这些器皿必被送到巴比伦，存在那里，直到我眷顾这些器皿的日子。那时，我必把它们带上来，放回这地方。’”这是耶和华的宣告。

并且把西底家的眼睛弄瞎了，用铜链锁住他，把他带到巴比伦去。

你要说：‘主耶和华这样说：这葡萄树怎能茂盛呢？鹰不是要拔出它的根来，啄光它的果子，使它和它长出的一切嫩叶都枯干吗？其实，要把它连根拔起，并不需要很多人或很大的气力。看哪！葡萄树被栽种了，但它能发旺吗？东风吹袭它的时候，它不是必然枯干吗？它必在生长的苗床上枯干。’”

‘这城的居民出去和迦勒底人争战，就必使这些房屋充满死尸，就是我在怒气和烈怒中击杀的。因为他们的一切恶行，我掩面不顾这城。

你必双手抱头从埃及出来，因为耶和华弃绝了你所倚靠的，你靠他们必不能成功。’”

但犹大王西底家啊，你还要听耶和华的话！耶和华论到你这样说：‘你必不会死在刀下；你必平平安安死去。人怎样为你的列祖，就是在你以前的君王，焚烧香料，也必照样为你焚烧香料；人必为你哀悼，说：“哀哉，主上！”’这话是我说的。”这是耶和华的宣告。

“看哪，神和我们同在，率领我们；他的祭司拿着号筒向你们大声吹响。以色列人哪，你们不可和耶和华你们列祖的神作战，因为你们必不能得胜。”

我要把我的网撒在他身上，他必被我的网罗网住；我要把他带到巴比伦，就是迦勒底人之地；他不会看见那地，却要死在那里。

即使你们击败了那攻打你们的迦勒底全军，他们中间只剩下一些受重伤的人，他们也必各从自己的帐棚里起来，放火烧毁这城。’”

那时，神的灵临到耶何耶大祭司的儿子撒迦利亚身上，他就站在比众民高的地方，对他们说：“神这样说：‘你们为什么违背耶和华的诫命，使你们不得亨通呢？因为你们离弃了耶和华，所以耶和华也离弃你们。’”

‘耶和华以色列的神这样说：看哪！我必使你们手中的武器，就是你们用来与城外围困你们的巴比伦王和迦勒底人作战的武器，转回堆积在这城的中心。我必在怒气、烈怒和忿怒中，用伸出来的手和强有力的膀臂，亲自攻击你们。

任何智慧、聪明、谋略都不能敌挡耶和华。

摩西说：“你们为什么又违背耶和华的命令呢？这事必不能成功。
