The LORD continued,“ In every town in the land I will purge them like straw blown away by the wind. I will destroy my people. I will kill off their children. I will do so because they did not change their behavior.

你必簸扬它们，风要把它们吹去，旋风也要把它们吹散；但你要靠耶和华喜乐，以以色列的圣者夸耀。

我必打发外族人去巴比伦簸扬它，扬净它的地；在它遭祸的日子，他们必从四围攻击它。

因此，愿你使他们的儿女遭受饥荒，把他们交给刀剑（“刀剑”原文作“刀剑的手”）；愿他们的妻子丧夫失子；愿他们的男人被杀死，他们的壮丁在战场上被刀剑击杀。

耶和华啊！你的眼目不是要看诚实的事吗？你击打他们，他们却不觉得伤痛；你摧毁他们，他们仍不肯接受管教。他们板着脸，脸皮比磐石还硬，总不肯回转。

即使他们把儿女养大，我也必使他们丧子，一个不留。我离弃他们的时候，他们就有祸了。”在我看来，以法莲的儿女注定被当作猎物；以法莲要把自己的儿女带出来，交给施行杀戮的人。耶和华啊，求你赐给他们；你要赐给他们什么呢？求你使他们坠胎小产，乳房萎缩。“他们的一切罪恶都在吉甲，我在那里憎恨他们，因他们的恶行，我要把他们从我的家里赶出来；我不再爱他们，他们的领袖都是叛徒。以法莲被击打，他们的根枯干了，必不能再结果子。即使他们生产，我必杀死他们所生的爱子。”我的神必弃绝他们，因为他们不听从他；他们必在列国中飘流。

恶人却不是这样，他们好像糠秕，被风吹散。

“你要对他们说：‘耶和华这样说：人跌倒了，不再起来吗？人偏离了，不再回转吗？这人民为什么背道，耶路撒冷为什么长久偏离？他们定意行诡诈，不肯回转。

不要效法你们的列祖那样，从前的先知呼唤他们：万军之耶和华这样说，你们要回转，离开你们的恶道和恶行。他们却不听从，也不理会我（这是耶和华的宣告）。

“人子啊！我从他们中间夺去他们的堡垒、他们所喜欢的荣耀、他们眼所喜爱的、心所崇尚的和他们的儿女的时候，

到那时，必有话对这人民和耶路撒冷说：“有一阵热风从旷野光秃的高冈，刮向我的子民（“我的子民”原文作“我子民的女子”），不是为簸散，也不是为扬净；这过强的风要为我刮来，我就要向他们宣告我的判词。”

“我在你们中间降下瘟疫，正如临到埃及的瘟疫一样；我用刀杀掉你们的年轻人，你们被掳去的马匹也遭杀戮；我使你们营里死尸的臭气扑鼻，但你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。“我倾覆你们，就像倾覆所多玛和蛾摩拉一样；你们像一根木柴，从火里抽出来；但你们仍不归向我。”这是耶和华的宣告。“因此，以色列啊！我必这样对付你。以色列啊！因我必这样对付你，你应当预备迎见你的神。”

你必生儿养女，却不是属你的，因为他们都要被掳去。

‘你要告诉以色列家，主耶和华这样说：看哪！我必使我的圣所被亵渎，这圣所就是你们所夸耀的势力，眼所喜爱的，心中所爱惜的。你们遗下的儿女，都必倒在刀下。

你身所生的、土地所出的、牛生殖的和羊所产的，都必受咒诅。

你的儿女必被交给别国的民，你必亲眼看见，日日为他们焦虑；你必无能为力。

因为死亡从窗户上来，进入我们的堡垒；要从街上剪除孩童，从广场上剪除年轻人。

你在仇敌围困和窘迫你的时候，要吃你身所生的，就是吃耶和华你的神赐给你的儿女的肉。你们中间温柔嫩弱的男人，必敌视自己的兄弟、怀中的妻子和余剩的儿女；甚至在你的仇敌围困和窘迫你在各城里的时候，他要吃自己儿女的肉，却不肯分给他们任何人，因为他没有什么剩下的。你们中间温柔娇嫩的妇人，素来因为温柔娇嫩不肯把脚掌踏在地上，现在必敌视自己怀中的丈夫和自己的儿女。
