Therefore Yahweh says,“ If you return, then I will bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take out the precious from the vile, you will be as my mouth. They will return to you, but you will not return to them.

主如是云、如爾歸誠、則我使爾歸、立於我前、如爾能以善別於惡、則可代我傳言、則可代我傳言原文作則可成如我口彼當歸爾、爾勿歸彼、

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me; if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them.

So the Lord says to Jeremiah,“ If you turn away from your sins, I will heal you. And then you will be able to serve me. Speak words that are worthy, not worthless. Then you will be speaking for me. Let these people turn to you. But you must not turn to them.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.

This is how the Lord responds:“ If you return to me, I will restore you so you can continue to serve me. If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you!

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will take you back; you will stand in my presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. It is they who must return to you; you must not return to them.

Therefore, this is what the Lord says:“ If you return, then I will restore you— You will stand before Me; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, You will become My spokesman. They, for their part, may turn to you, But as for you, you are not to turn to them.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ If you return, Then I will bring you back; You shall stand before Me; If you take out the precious from the vile, You shall be as My mouth. Let them return to you, But you must not return to them.

Because of this, the LORD said,“ You must repent of such words and thoughts! If you do, I will restore you to the privilege of serving me. If you say what is worthwhile instead of what is worthless, I will again allow you to be my spokesman. They must become as you have been. You must not become like them.

“ Yahweh of Armies says:‘ If you will walk in my ways, and if you will follow my instructions, then you also shall judge my house, and shall also keep my courts, and I will give you a place of access among these who stand by.

They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Her priests have done violence to my law, and have profaned my holy things. They have made no distinction between the holy and the common, neither have they caused men to discern between the unclean and the clean, and have hidden their eyes from my Sabbaths. So I am profaned among them.

You are to make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean.

But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,

for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.

for I didn’t shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

Whoever listens to you listens to me, and whoever rejects you rejects me. Whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.

You shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.He will be your spokesman to the people. It will happen that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.

You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.

Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.”

Then Yahweh said to me,“ Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not turn toward this people. Cast them out of my sight, and let them go out!

But Jeremiah said,“ They won’t deliver you. Obey, I beg you, Yahweh’s voice, in that which I speak to you; so it will be well with you, and your soul will live.But if you refuse to go out, this is the word that Yahweh has shown me:

for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”

If I say, I will not make mention of him, or speak any more in his name, then there is in my heart as it were a burning fire shut up in my bones. I am weary with holding it in. I can’t.

The angel answered him,“ I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God. I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.

Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve kings. He won’t serve obscure men.

Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Moreover he said to me,“ Son of man, receive in your heart and hear with your ears all my words that I speak to you.Go to them of the captivity, to the children of your people, and speak to them, and tell them,‘ This is what the Lord Yahweh says,’ whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse.

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ I am Yahweh. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I tell you.”Moses said before Yahweh,“ Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”

to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Good News might continue with you.

Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife, and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet every one of them curses me.Yahweh said,“ Most certainly I will strengthen you for good. Most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and bronze?I will give your substance and your treasures for a plunder without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which will burn on you.”Yahweh, you know. Remember me, visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors. You are patient, so don’t take me away. Know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry and rejoice. I sat alone because of your hand, for you have filled me with indignation.Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, like waters that fail?

Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

“ Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”

The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against Yahweh, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
