耶和华说：“腰带怎样紧贴人腰，照样，我也使以色列全家和犹大全家紧贴我，好叫他们属我为子民，使我得名声，得颂赞，得荣耀；他们却不肯听。”

For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the Lord,‘ to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’

A belt is tied around a person’s waist. In the same way, I tied all the people of Israel to me. I also tied all the people of Judah to me like a belt. I wanted them to be my people. They should have brought me fame and praise and honor. But they have not listened to me,” announces the Lord.

For as the loincloth clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah cling to me, declares the Lord, that they might be for me a people, a name, a praise, and a glory, but they would not listen.

As a loincloth clings to a man’s waist, so I created Judah and Israel to cling to me, says the Lord. They were to be my people, my pride, my glory— an honor to my name. But they would not listen to me.

Just as underwear clings to one’s waist, so I fastened the whole house of Israel and of Judah to me”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ so that they might be my people for my fame, praise, and glory, but they would not obey.

For as the undergarment clings to the waist of a man, so I made the entire household of Israel and the entire household of Judah cling to Me,’ declares the Lord,‘ so that they might be My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they did not listen.’

For as the sash clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me,’ says the Lord,‘ that they may become My people, for renown, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’

For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith Jehovah; that they may be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.

For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to me,’ says Yahweh;‘ that they may be to me for a people, for a name, for praise, and for glory; but they would not hear.’

今爾若聽從我言、遵守我約、普天下雖皆屬我、我必於萬國中、特選爾為我民、特選爾為我民或作以爾為寶亦在我前、為祭司之國、為成聖之民、爾當以斯言告以色列人、

天下萬國、聞我降福於斯民、亦必欣喜、揄揚我名、頌美我、歸榮於我、因我降福於耶路撒冷、賜以平康、必畏懼戰慄、畏懼戰慄或作詫異驚駭

我為己所創立之民、當頌美我德、

第我民不聽從我言、以色列人不肯歸順我、

主今日認爾為己之民、循其所許爾、欲爾守其一切誡命、

我設守望者、命曰、當聽角聲、惟彼曰、我不欲聞、

主遇之於野、在獸嗷嗷荒墟之地、護之誨之保如眸子、譬彼鵰鷹向巢喚雛、飛於其上翩翩往來、展舒其翼以雛接之、以翼負之載飛載揚、如是主獨引導斯民、並無別神偕主相助、使其得登地之高嶺、使其得食所產於田、使由巖穴得蜜吸飲、使由堅磐得油以用、牛酥羊乳羔羊之脂、巴珊所出綿山牡羊、至嘉麥麵賜之以食、以葡萄汁為醴得飲、耶書崙胖奔踶不馴、其身肥腯為脂所蒙、遂違棄造之之天主、救之之主彼竟藐視、

因主選擇雅各、選擇以色列、為己珍寶之民、

此惡劣之民、不願聽我言、放縱情欲、剛愎自用、妄從他神、服事崇拜之、必將似此無用之帶然、

人必稱爾民為聖民、主所贖者、稱爾為復選不棄之邑、

何民若是昌大、或作有何昌大之民有神有神或作天主與之相近、猶主我天主之與我相近乎、我凡祈禱主我天主之時、與我相近而允我所祈、

且遣我之父、亦為我作證、爾曹從未聞其聲、未見其形、其道不存於爾心、以其所遣者、爾不信也、爾當稽考諸經、爾以為其中有永生之道、而為我作證者、即此經也、爾不欲就我以得生、

竟不領命、不傾耳以聽、乃強厥項、行惡甚於其列祖、

在伊及地、在以色列族、在世人中、行奇事異跡、宣揚大名、有如今日、

惟爾曹乃蒙選之族、有王位之祭司、成聖之國、屬主之民、主召爾出幽暗、入其妙光、欲爾宣揚其德、

主未嘗如此待異邦人、因主之法律、彼實不知、阿勒盧亞、
